"At the moment, at least 13 high-profile companies have applied to the SEC to launch a Bitcoin ETF and are currently awaiting an answer. And ETF experts say it is likely one will, at last, get approved on October 18. The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF is the one currently slated for an October 18 deadline. "
Source. some random crypto news site that probably didn't fact check anything. Warning - neither did I.

Btw…. that is why I prefer written explanations than video ones.  A written one can easily be reread multiple times at any “speed” to understand a tricky bit.  And previous points can be found easily.  The bloody videos are a pain for that.
Text kills video for complex ideas.

    Agree.
Remember that the majority of people on this forum follow self-reinforcing bullish news flow. Like when "expert" Jeremy Hogan thought settlement was imminent, 90% of the XRP army went nuts and produced endless hours of tweets and video footage about this tiny speculative tidbit. And of course, he was wrong like most of the bulls, because they're seeing what they WANT not what IS. The point is, the mind sometimes WANTS things to be true that aren't, and sets itself up for disappointment and tunnel vision.
That said, while I doubt we'll see 40c any time soon, and I expect new all time highs within 6 months to a year, that's based on my ASSUMPTION that this court case will go "more or less smoothly" for Ripple with no major killer setbacks, and ultimately result in settlement if not total clarity. That's quite an assumption.
But the SEC clearly isn' going to back down despite (again) all the hopium of the last few months by XRP believers; I personally believe the SEC are out to kill Ripple or at least take out an eye or two in the fight. This isn't going away any time soon; this isn't the easy settlement we thought – having listened gullibly to the so-called "experts" who as always turned out to be speculating as much as we are.
So XRP is a lottery ticket at this point. Personally after the next ATH (assuming we get there) I'm selling everything and putting some back into other coins (maybe even Spark). XRP has been too much of a total f*ck up and over-hyped project for too long for me to take chances for much longer.
I really think XRPL tech is awesome and deserves to be at the top, but the baggage Ripple brings is just immense. If we see ATHs, remember to TAKE PROFITS!!! Don't make it a repeat of Jan 2021 where you lose 90% of the gains in a few weeks because of dreams and wishes.

This is a very insular perspective and outlook on a global system. The USA is not the centre of the universe and despite what happens in the USA, the world will either work with them or leave them behind. If people still believe crypto is a fad or something that will go away, they are very much mistaken. It’s shown as the future and you are either onboard or you’ll be left standing at the station.
Mr Gensler is indeed in an important position, but his decisions will not decide the fate of crypto as a whole, again, this is bigger than the USA 👌

As a rule, look for people who don’t benefit from the pump for advice. Otherwise it’s just bias. Even if it was Satoshi pumping BTC.

I agree, it looks as if it wants to pump past the 1.24 resistance, but my expectation is that we will back test 1.24 at some point.  Not sure if I would be brave enough to sell some on Monday morning if it has hit 1.40 (in the expectation of buying back cheaper).  These sudden runs by XRP are notorious, it could simply take off to 2 dollars without stopping.  Playing parabolic markets in Alt season is very risky.  Maybe better to take out some percentages in stages, but I will not be doing that for a while yet.

After this garbage this spring? How about the garbage it has been after the first and only ath it ever had? So for 3,5 years now? Xrp is the most worst performing top 10 coin since the first ath, so we sure deserve to be finaly rewarded for our patience and keeping our thrust in xrp for that long.

    My thoughts....
    1) it is just XRP's turn to pump as each coin tends to have its time to shine in a bull market.
    2) possible insiders have news we don't know about yet. I think this is most likely good news but don't rule out an exit pump before bad news
    3) xrp is gaining in Satoshi value since it is relatively undervalued compared to bitcoin

My thoughts just off the top of my head. I am not gifted with TA.

This is the problem with crypto.  Everyone in it to make quick money.  People see it as the stock market, but on steroids.  They are right that it's like the stock market, and the same advice anyone would give you in investing in the stock market apply to crypto:  Invest in Blue ribbon, hold many years, cash out.

Sure, watch the 24 hour chart and know that someone got lucky.  And hey...  maybe that could be you?  Throw down some money and stress everyday...  not my scene.  Zoom out and find some Zen.

Well that was a scary shakeout. Of course if it wasn't scary then it wouldn't be a shakeout!
In moves like that you have to be patient to wait for the candles to close, because the close tells the true story. We had to wait here to see how the 4H candle closed and it closed just fine. XRPBTC it closed where I was hoping it would. XRPUSD is a slightly different chart, but it also closed in a decent place.
The market is now refreshed, ready for another leg up. BTC stopped well. ETH stopped well, although the long term on that chart is more vague. Even Doge now looks bullish. XRPETH barely broke a sweat, which means our rebound will likely be better than ETH's.
A scary candle can turn into a nothing candle, can turn into a great candle before the close. If we didn't see a massive wick, and we closed at the bottom of the candle, then yeah I would've been worried. But I'm not now. Upside ahead.

They have to go on fighting hard, pretending they can still win, until the settlement is done.
They are so contradictory because they are now fighting on two fronts and losing on both.  My guess is that this is the last rolling of the dice, and quite frankly the judges don't seem sympathetic either.
I think they cannot afford to prolong this much longer.

    Weekly and daily candle closes:
XRPBTC looks great. Starting to get very bullish on this chart. Weekly candle looks great. Daily candle closed outside of the range so hopefully this means we will be on our way to a new range soon.

XRPUSD: weekly candle looks ok. Daily candle looks ok too but we are just right back in the middle of this range we've been in for 5 weeks. It will come. We will likely just blast out of here some time. Since we are in the middle of the range it's a coin-toss whether we go up or down from here on the 4H/Daily charts. But the longer term weekly and monthly charts still just look up up up.

BTC: hanging on by a damn thread. The weekly close suggests it will hang on but its touch and go. One set of bad news could send it tumbling. I imagine a whole lot of people are panicking right now, especially if they bought at the top. The biggest thing that says to me 64k might've been the top is the fact that the Coinbase IPO was timed EXACTLY at that top. That's a pretty big coincidence at a massively significant level.
BTC dominance: This is where we enter the twilight zone. On the weekly and daily charts there is this spike below the low, but it's not there on the hourly charts, which suggests to me that it might not be real. IF it is real, then BTC dominance made an all time low and is now bouncing. If it is not real, then we are still heading down. Impossible to say for sure, it's just curious.

Our Crypto who are in blockchain... hollowed be thy name...
Thy bullishness come, thy work be done; on earth as it is on moon.
Give us this year, our yearly bubble, forgive us of our bad trades, for we are a 0 sum game, forgive the bears for their sins, they know not what they do,
and lead us not to margin calls... But deliver us into profits...
    In Satochi's name...
