  1. But there is a "this", "that" and "other" thing? Please elaborate... /troll I had to, sorry.
  2. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-worldbank-cba-blockchain/world-bank-launches-world-first-blockchain-bond-idUSKCN1L80DP?il=0 The World Bank has priced the world’s first public bond created and managed using only blockchain in a A$100 million ($73.16 million) deal designed to test how the technology might improve decades-old bond sales practices.
  3. As long as the bikini's have the correct number embroided.
  4. You do understand that the Dallas cowboy thingie was the THE thing to make this stupid. I have no idea what I'm talking about because I'm not from the US and have no idea if we are talking about the NHL/NFL/NBA/WHATEVERL or one of those with a W prefix.
  5. Sigh... Ripple does NOT equal XRP. Maybe they'll get it right eventually.
  6. @Chewiecoin Invite please. I knew something was amiss now that I have had more time lurking around. The Zerpening had disappeared. :O
  7. Hodor mentioned the XRP Toolkit in his latest blog (https://xrpcommunity.blog/enjoy-your-summer-the-xrp-ledger-is-always-working/). Here's the GitLab repo for the demo he referred to: https://gitlab.com/xrptoolkit/ledger-u2f-integration-demo I'm wondering if RareData is on XRP Chat? There's a user called xrptoolkit and RareData but I don't know if either are the actual developer. @Hodor, do you know? Based on the screenshot in the demo repo I'm guessing that we can add trustlines with the toolkit. There's a Trustlines menu item under Advanced. Also I'd like to know how the Toolkit interfaces with the Ledger device. Probably the Ledger SDK/API?
  8. Hopefully until XRP Toolkit is available... https://gitlab.com/xrptoolkit/ledger-u2f-integration-demo I'm hoping that we can use the toolkit to add ALV trustlines. Can you confirm?
  9. It's quite buggy for now. Tried to send some ETH and had to open the ETH app on my Nano S a dozen times before I was able to sign the transaction. Adding XRP to Ledger Live also failed the first ten times or so.
  10. Found this thread and decided to buy some CSC just for fun. Didn't follow DYOR.
  11. Already posted this in the Coming soon topic but I'll add it here too. 1.0.1 has been released. Download here: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live Changelog here: https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live-desktop/releases
  12. And already 1.0.1 has been released. Download here: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live Changelog here: https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live-desktop/releases Edit: Changelog and download links added.
  13. And it's LIVE! https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live
  14. You can check the links to the GitHub repos on Ledger Wallet's web site.
  15. That is Ledger's official GitHub account. It's there so that people can check the code, etc.
  16. Ledger desktop edition on GitHub: https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live-desktop
  17. Use an offline computer to save the recovery phrase in a text file on an encrypted volume with a difficult enough passphrase. Unmount the volume and split the volume in two or three parts with an archiver. Then move each of the three parts to an online computer and save them to different cloud storage providers, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. And remember to activate 2FA on the services.
  18. I'm not that familiar with how things are in the US but I'm guessing that documenting the "transaction" just on paper should be sufficient. Names, date, a short description of what you are doing and how much money moved. Then attach a screen shot of the purchase from Bitstamp and the transaction ID when you move the XRP to your father's Nano. That way you should have everything you need in case the tax authorities ever ask questions. As I already mentioned, I'm not from the US but that's how I would do it.
