  1. I approach the markets from a perspective of supply and demand. Price moves because of supply and demand. When supply exceeds demand (or the opposite), the imbalances makes the price move to an area where it's gonna be balanced again, meaning where the buy and sell orders are in an equilibrium. A sharp move like the one we just witnessed, in my humble opinion, is a reflect of that concept, mixed with some market manipulation. Sometimes, before huge moves happen in a direction, you'll see the price go in the opposite direction. An explanation to that phenomenon could be that in order to go up (for the sake of our example), the biggest market participants (the Big Boys i.e the FI's) will "shake the tree". They'll go in the opposite direction first in order to trigger all the stop orders (tight sell stops from the weak hands). The stops here are sells orders to get out of their position. Who are the weak hands selling to ? To the big boys, who are buying at the same time at a discount. On top of this, by "artificially" pushing the price lower in order to hit the liquidity pools, the Big Boys will make the uneducated bears think that the price is crashing for good : the little bears will be short selling, and they'll have no other choice but to cover (buy back) at higher prices when they'll understand that this was just a trick and that the price is actually going higher.
  2. Indeed. I was just describing the picture. I guess everyone knows who we're talking about here, and on which specific occasion.
  3. Look at what the first soldier on the left is saying.
  4. Also, - Front soldier: IX I III XX I I IX V I! = I A C T A A I E A = Alea Jacta Est / The die is cast
  5. If I'm not mistaken, someone on Reddit asked BG123 again, and very explicitly, if he was still maintaining his $589+ price prediction, and he answered affirmatively. This makes me think that the number 589 is just a reference to Cobalt, and the "+" means that he actually sees the price going much higher than $589.
  6. Thanks @ed1 for posting this. Very informative.
  7. Talking about waves... it’s gonna be nerve wracking for sure ! We better get prepared for this kind of insanity.
  8. I guess you can be a pro and still be bad at what you're doing. It applies to all fields, why not to trading ?
  9. A 50-50 win/rate ratio can provide great profits over time. All it requires is good risk management and discipline. If on top of that, you have an edge over the market that gives you a 60/40 win/rate ratio, I let you imagine how a profitable a normal guy can be...
  10. Damn I wish my fiat arrived at Bitstamp already! Sent the money last Wednesday and I'm still waiting. My last wire was in September and it took 3 days. Anyone here can tell me how long it takes Bitstamp these days to do its thing ?
  11. This. Weak hands are getting hammered.
  12. I wasn't implying that I'm gonna be shorting the potential dip. Just stating that I would love to see a bigger dip/retracement creating a swing low on the daily chart, before the next run up. I would consider this as a perfectly healthy price action. In the meantime, I'll be HODLING and maybe buying more ONLY !

  14. Wow, the FUD is real... IMHO, it's gonna retrace more, and I'm absolutely OK with that. After 4 straight weeks of strong upside momentum, I would love to see price create a nice real swing lower on the daily chart before the next leg higher. It would be nothing but healthy price action. But to be honest, not even sure it's gonna happen.
