  1. So In early August I bought my first xrp.  And I held.  I held through the 3.2.1,  I held during swell, I even have a mug that has the XRP logo on it, saying HODL.  But I have changed the way I look at xrp, and while I do hodl some, I often trade it for other tokens in order to capitalize on some gains, and then re accumulate xrp again.  It's pretty stable and we can see even in the worst blood, it doesnt really drop below .19 or so.  And it will often jump up into the mid .20s, so it's better than a savings account in my opinion.  I will hodl xrp as a storage space like tether (with the potential of gains), with very little volatility on the downside.  I will not marry myself to any one coin from here on out and will shift between them to take advantage of gains from potential news, while always hodling some xrp.  I shifted some into b3coin 3 weeks ago and some into Lisk, and they have made staggering returns that I simply wouldn't have had, had I just HEDL'D all my xrp.

Well of course it is so. It is very very very important to wash off the stains if one calls himeself is a "Oracle". BTW the original Oracle in Greek mythology was a WOMAN., as far as I remember it. :girl_haha:

    Oracles I don´t trust, honestly I don´t :hunter:

I don't trust psychics either.  I've never met a wealthy one.  They're always in some little 500 square foot palm reading kiosk.  If they were real, they would be the wealthiest people in the world and rule the Earth.

@invest2lose could you, please enlighten me about palm beach group, and what this is about regarding XRP?

Headlined by Teeka Tiwari--- they will be giving an emergency briefing online tonight at 5pm and again at 8pm on repeat.  Predicted NEO, and Ethereum (and OMG). Teeka will be announcing his pick to get into tonight, and most crypto investors look to him as an "Oracle" so to speak.   I know you didn't ask me, but I couldn't resist ;)

Are you expecting more or less?

Welllll, 5 years is a long time, who knows what will happen in the space.  I'd need to see what happens in 2018 before I can make a prediction like that, because as of now, I see the price .2 in 5 years ;)

  5. I really don't see what the problem is.  I bought in August, and I'm still 20% up on my investment despite the price lowering.  People who bought a year before me are up way more.  Not sure what other investments out there would have given me 20% within 1-2 months, but there arent many ;)

$1000... gosh maybe in the year 2100, personally I cant see it getting anywhere past $5 in the next 5 years, unless some big shift in the masses and world wide adoption and visibility.

I would be very shocked to see $5 in 5 years.

  7. 30.75% XRP

    11.98% BQX

    10.36% OMG

    7.32% ARK

    7.26% LSK

    6.83% NEO

    5.28% CVC

    4.05% b3coin

    2.78% PTOY (whoops)

    1.44% steem

(also HODLing a considerable amount of SAFEX, and power ledger ;)

I know it's not proper to talk about other cryptos on this chat and I try not to but I feel this post deserves it.

I shuttle in and out of BTC as opportunities present themselves.  For example, right now b3coin is offering 10,000% annual staking rewards (27% per day), so it makes no sense (fork or not) for me to keep my money in btc when I can have it staking in b3coin until block 80,001 hits and the reward goes down to 100% annually (.27% daily).

Nothing's going to happen before the Fork, and even if it did, nobody would move their money from BTC to an alt before the fork.

I moved a lot of my BTC to B3coin with these 10,000% staking rewards this month lol

I am taking ripple out as soon as it reaches 10-100$ :) I will convert to BTC and BTC only and withdraw here and there..... Ripple disappointed me a little, but hey we need one or two more explosions like those in april and may... and we will not only hit the moon but maybe even MARS :)

One or two explosions like May isn't going to get us anywhere near $10

I was thinking if you decide to sell XRP when it hits a high price, how can you sell all of it in one go and wire it to you bank?

It seems the most you wire is  10K a month?

Bittrex lets you withdraw 400k per day if you have an enhanced account.

My time. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of it on Ripple, for no particular reason.

I understand.  I got to where you are at a few months ago when we kept hovering at .17 and while I still HODL my xrp, I have a lot of other gems in my portfolio I think have the potential to outshine XRP in the shorter term.

So if 20 XRP is the minimum how would someone start a wallet if say 1 XRP is = $100? Would they need $2000 to open a account/wallet just to get started?

"In Ripple protocol, to create a new account you need to initialize it with a funding of at least 20 XRP. An account under 20 XRP is considered as not exiting. Thus, your balance must always be at minimum 20 XRP and you are not allowed to make transactions that would result in your balance going under this limit."

    Thanks for any input!

This has been discussed across a few platforms, like LISK Delegate proof of stake voting costing 1 LSK and the consensus seems to be that as the price of said asset goes up, the actual associated transaction costs / minimum requirements, etc should go down accordingly.  So if 1 xrp = $100, the minimum wallet fee could be reduced to .25 xrp as time passes.

I'm watching a Dimension Data live talk right now where they are discussing the projections for 2018 and they discuss the topics being brought up at Sibos and mentioned there have already been a massive shift of forex trading into the blockchain on an institutional level and they said there is a clear 50 billion that is currently locked into accounts that can be brought back into liquidity once solutions are fully developed and adopted. No specific mention of players, but I guess blockchain was what all the attendees were buzzing about. Very exciting world.

Not only that -- there are so many publicly traded blockchain companies on the new york stock exchange at the moment as well.  BLKCF is an interesting one -- started by the guy who coined the term "GAS" (neo / ethereum).
