Version 1.2.0 also lowers the threshold for network participants involved in signing transactions. The MultiSignReserve amendment allows owners of signer lists for authorization method Multisign to participate with a reserve of just 5 XRP, down from the previous 15–50 XRP.

I mean this with all due respect but to think that JPM Coin is a threat to the Ripple use case for XRP is to essentially misunderstand the structural model of XRP.
Why would another bank trust JPM Coin? If another bank makes their own coin, how do they settle between their coin and JPM Coin? Why and how is a stablecoin a threat to a non-fiat backed digital asset? Counter party risk is a real thing and XRP solves that. Stablecoins issued by banks does not.
These are two entirely separate use cases.

That's enough good new for one day. Ripple are going to give all the poor FUDsters carpal tunnel trying to debunk these positive developments.

Most top ranking ripple employees are not really known by the public . They don’t appear often in the media
Cory wasn’t even a year at ripple. Usually you need at least half a year to learn the basics of the company , the loss of Cory can’t be that bad , he wasn’t needed before and maybe ripple realised that there isn’t much need for him

The sensible thing is that we simply don't know what the reasons were.

These are top talent and the face of Ripple: Brad Garlinghouse, David Schwartz, Asheesh Birla, Marcus Treacher....not Corey Johnson
Corey was an anchorman who was on television everyday interviewing the CEOs of Banks and Fintech.  Maybe he was good at that job, but when he stopped someone else was there to fill his shoes.  His television work made him a celeb with a fat salary and lots of useful connections.  Ripple employed a recognisable face with lots of connections and some experience of working in the media.  Very easy to replace.
This is an isolated incident and only odd because top talent (which Corey is not) do not move away from Ripple - other than when they are setting up extensions of Ripple like COIL.
    It's a non event.

Dont you see? Corey Johnson is Bearableguy123. I knew those piercing blue eyes weren't a coincidence.

SEC announcement is change in market conditions so now that he's gone we will moon to $800 USD. It's in the astronomical chart. So obvious.

    There are a few possibilities:
    1) The role of Chief Market Strategist is truly unneeeded now.
    2) Cory succeeded in whatever goal he had and decided to exit/was pushed out.
    3) Cory was unsuccessful/not the right fit and Ripple is saving face by eliminating the position.
    4) Cory has a better opportunity elsewhere and decided to leave.
    5) Cory didn’t like the work and decided to leave.
    6) Cory had interpersonal problems with other folks at Ripple.
    7) Cory has a personal issue he has to deal with. (Family, Health, Drugs)
If I had to guess... which I do... I would say it’s likely a combination of several of the above. Decisions like this are rarely cut-and-dry.
Remember, Cory was an anchor for over a decade. He’s an on-camera guy. Going from that position to a job at a fintech, even if it’s one with lots of camera time, is a MASSIVE life change. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to leave, and Ripple felt he had mostly accomplished his goal anyway so they cut the position.
