  3. apparent leak regarding coinbase

I have doubts this screenshot is real too, specially with the addition of the other two tokens.. I’m sure the irs wants to know who buys privacy coins, but who doesn’t like a juicy rumor! You never know it might be true
  4. apparent leak regarding coinbase

I’m not trying to keep the rumor going, but 3+ months ago I was talking to a coinbase employee at a meetup in SF and she stated in person that xrp would be added.. no mention of when or any hint about the other two.. historically they have introduced one coin at a time.. so it would be interesting if they added more than one considering they can’t even keep the website up with the current coins they have now.
  5. SF Bay Area meet-up

Ok.. I’m down with that. If anyone is in interested and has time let’s meet up next Sunday. We can plan a larger one for late January or early February during the week in SF to get ripple employees to attend.
  6. SF Bay Area meet-up

So far we only have 3-4 people that are able to go. Does anyone want to suggest a different date maybe mid January when everyone is back from the holidays?
  7. SF Bay Area meet-up

I’m ok with a venue change.. let me know if you have a good place @JonHolmquist

  11. New Agreement Terms with Jed?

The mess was made by the childish moves of the co-founder that refused to be a team player.. When you have an entire board (that included his personal friends) agree that a new direction was needed there was no need to be a total vindictive jerk. That same board decided to keep Chris as the CEO and not replace him with the boy wonder. At the end of the day that same co-founder pivoted his own cloned version in what seems like “lightyear’s” ago to the same model he once despised. At the end of the day he might still win, but if he was truly interested in helping humanity he has certainly created enough roadblocks to delay the inevitable transformation of how we transfer value. Maybe someone should tell him that his hatred and vindictiveness only satisfies him if he wins, but it helps all of humanity if he becomes an ally. Just saying..
  12. I am not a fan of ICO's, but the arena over the last 6 months to a year has had tremendous growth. Has anyone here looked at investing in Pre-ICO's? As more and more ICO's move away from allowing US citizens from participating (after SEC findings on The DAO) it makes me think we need to do some research at possibly participating in the early rounds. It is a ridiculous area that is creating ICO's to create ICO's..wtf.. I think there a few solid ICO's that if we combine our resources to research we can possibly cut through the BS and find some nice gems. Positive: The number of hedge funds being created over the last few months and currently being started seems like they will bring hundreds of millions of new money. The odds of hitting a 10x is easier when people are throwing money at everything that has even the smallest potential for success. We have all seen the success stories starting with the eth ICO (which took about a year to explode) and have been much more frequent. Just look at the last few big successful ICO's (OMG, 0x, antshares/neo, IOTA) thats not even touching the smaller ones that have done 10x+. All have been 10x+ in as fast as the the first week after the ICO. I expect that pace to continue as the FOMO grows worldwide. Negative: There is an eminent collapse of this area as it is unsustainable by any means. It will happen fast and it will be brutal, but I think most of us will survive and even thrive if we can work together. The other negative is the sheer number of ICO's on the horizon, hundreds of **** ICO's to sift through before you can find one gem that meets all the criteria to be successful.
  13. They love ripple.. they are just to shy to show it
  14. SF Bay Area meet-up

@Apollo you might have to get back on it, because it looks like @mhayes might be MIA..
  15. I am not sure if any one in here holds the same wallets (or keys to those wallets) they did 3 years ago I know I don't, but if you still do take advantage of the crumbs @jed is throwing our way. On a side note: I wouldn't want to hold any xlm once the potentially 19 billion free xlm hit the market.
  16. BAT - Basic Attention Token

I'm still not sold on this token. If interledger does what it was designed to do we shouldn't have a problem with every browser having it's own token, but unless this particular browser becomes used like its competitors (chrome, explorer).. Will we see huge demand for it? This question has nothing to do with price since things in crypto don't have to have a real use case to be worth trillions of dollars.. haha
  17. Investing in Pre-ICO

@Malloy Did you invest in this coin? I think they thought they would get huge demand from the mayweather tweet which never materialized. They can't seem to get to their minimum raise of $5 million. I have some good news if you haven't bought.
  18. SF Bay Area meet-up

@mhayes we usually do them in Oakland, which seems to be a central point for the entire Bay Area. Not sure if you had another place in mind.
  19. SF Bay Area meet-up

It's that time again.. @mhayes do you still want to organize it?
  20. XLM - Stellar Lumens

They will be participating on pre-ico's mostly
  21. XLM - Stellar Lumens

I just found a Mickey Mouse hedge fund that will be operating on stellar.. so I'm guessing that this will help pump the ico's that are scheduled to be issued on stellar in the near future
  22. Investing in Pre-ICO

Got a response very quickly.. not what I wanted, but definitely an easy way to guarantee a buy in early
  23. Investing in Pre-ICO

I just sent them an email to see if there is anything available. Most, not all have pre-sales at a significant discount in some cases. Many also close the pre-sale a couple of weeks to a couple of days before the ICO, so its worth a try to find out.
