  1. Why, you ask? Right here: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-24/coinsquare-crypto-exchange-eyes-120-million-ipo-in-canada Quote: “The United States and the U.K. market are next,” Coinsquare Chief Executive Officer Cole Diamond said in an interview Tuesday, adding he expects to be operating in those markets in the second quarter. “We believe that we will be a strong competitor to Coinbase and other exchanges in the U.S. by the end of the year.” ... "The Toronto-based crypto exchange also plans to offer Ripple, one of 2017’s best-performing cryptocurrencies, starting in February..." #1 rule in business: Expand or die. If you don't offer your customers what they want your competition will. XRP has billions of dollars per day in volume. The only way Ripple DOESN'T get added to Coinbase at this point is if the place is run by complete morons who want to lose market share when Coinsquare launches in the US in Q2. Fill those bags, fellow zerpers. I also expect to see a "fee war" between the 2.
  2. I'm sure they could, but it's also likely they're in on it.
  3. that's generally the purpose behind such a scheme, so overall it's probably a bullish sign... doesn't make it any less annoying.
  4. Not really sure how much clearer I can make it... They're playing 2 markets. They put false buy support in one, and huge sells in another. As the price falls they move their buy support backwards, and their sell pressure forwards. This induces others to sell and drives the price down unnaturally.
  5. Been watching the charts for hours now. Top is XRP/BTC, bottom is XRP/USDT. This isn't organic selling. Someone/group is throwing up huge buy walls on XRP/BTC and simultaneously throwing an even bigger sell wall on XRP/USDT. As the price falls, they pull the BTC wall back ~1000 sats or so and keep pushing the USDT sell down farther.

  7. Given the recent price action of XRP, both up and down, the FUD train has been in full effect. About a month ago I started compiling a list of the fundamentals behind Ripple/XRP to throw at all the naysayers. I shared a hasty version on /biz/ which I've since seen screenshotted and reshared on multiple venues (Twitter, Reddit, Etc). I took some time tonight and actually made it clear, concise, and sourced. Feel free to steal and share at your leisure. (I also uploaded it to IMGUR: https://imgur.com/Y6IFcwi)
  8. Hello all. I've been lurking this forum since the beginning of the year, registered this account back in June but haven't actually used it until now. Would just like to share some of my thoughts on XRP and the crypto market as a whole. Note I do not claim to be an expert investor in any way. Firstly, I think we're in a mania phase. The rise we're seeing in Bitcoin IMO is unsustainable. I liken in to the .com bubble. Business insider released an article the other day which pointed out that although the overall "market cap" of the crypto world is much smaller than the tech bubble, the ROI's have been substantially higher. And for what? Bitcoin is slow, unscalable, has exorbitant fees and hardly any utility. It's too complicated for the average user/investor, yet it's price continues to soar. The only real use I've seen for Bitcoin is convincing the next guy that it's worth more than you paid for it. On to XRP: There is an actual, explicit use case. It has a real, tangible business behind it with 200 employees. It has worked with the (monetary) system that we all participate in and understand. It has partnerships with some of the most recognizable names in the financial sector. This is just a few of the things XRP has going for it and without delving into others we can already point out that there is NO other crypto that can make these claims. I know it can be disheartening to watch other cryptos "moon" while XRP appears stagnant and I'd be lying if I said I haven't felt some disappointment or even envy myself. But all I need to do is remind myself of the aforementioned facts. I think the crypto world as a whole is going to be in for a big shock in short order as this unprecedented growth does a complete reversal. But I also understand that ~60% of XRP is traded in fiat, which means XRP is less susceptible to BTC price movements and more likely to hold it's ground/recover from the impending crash. Short and sweet of it: I firmly believe we've bet on the right horse.
