  1. XRP is a digital coin and BTC is the leader so it makes sense to look at it relative to its class. This is the same with currency quotes e.g. $EUR/$USD - you wouldn't use Gold or silver to get a currency rate (unless you were looking for some pattern or had a reason to.)
  2. Thanks for taking time to reply! Main questions are on policy of employees selling XRP and to what extent is the Ripple corporate sale of XRP (to raise cash) driving down the price. XRP is a bit unique as it is pre-mined and held by Ripple/Employees. I like the escrow idea (although the 1B/month and 5.1B this year is still very dilutive.) I'm fine if insiders are selling or not, just looking for some transparency. If insiders are not selling, then why is the Market sour on XRP relative to other currencies. Is this just a large 50% correction (relative to BTC?) that's more than other altcoin corrections. No Fud, I'm long, trying to get facts and perspective as are others. Much respect and great talk this week!
  3. The point is that relative to the market (ie BTC) it is going down for a week straight. All other big players have had pops and have been going up. What made it go up at first - confidence in future value? What is making it drop - just profit taking?
  4. @kanaas you say you just looked over their accounts - can you please post the accounts you are referring to? Does that include insiders? Thanks.
  5. 55 of 61B lockup - correct? t current value that is $300M/month released + 6B @ $0.030 = $1.8B in XRP. I wish I knew if Ripple is driving down the market by selling or if insider?
  6. and here comes the pump and dump routine
  7. FYI That is a small portion of what I'm holding.
  8. ok - fair enough. fyi - i just bought another 20K @ 0.00012375 futures on bitmex. I'm loaded because I really believe in tech - just concerned and only have this venue as reddit is dead on ripple topics....
  9. I searched the boards - do you have the specifics?
  10. Guys - I'm long. I think Ripple has a great technology and business model. I asked a question and speculate that an insider is selling - not accusing, nobody has told me they are / are not, If you think the question is stupid that's fine (some in the thread do not.) @Max Entropy put it pretty well in context. If you manipulate the market you either have a lot of asset or short sell (big risk.) If the sell volume of btc/xmr pair is high and price is dropping while most similar class coins are doing the opposite then something is going on. I believe (don't know for sure) that insiders have the largest stake. Its fine if they want to sell, however if they are selling big then it sends a strong market signal. If people found out that Charlie Lee dumped all his LTC (assuming he had a lot and probably doesn't) it would affect the price, just like if banks or billionaires are buying BTC it affects the price. If a former Mccaleb is selling, that might actually increase the demand as it would explain why the price is down and he no longer has a stake in the co. I'm actually trying to avoid the FUD - people will assume that XRP is crap and not valued by the market if there is no other explanation for the behavior and the digital asset class is in a pivotal point where leaders are being defined. Respectfully, please don't respond with attacks on my motivations - searching for facts.
  11. I sent @JoelKatz a PM (not sure if he will read/respond) to possibly shed some light here: Hi Joel: You are a rockstar. I hold a large XRP position and have been beaten up. I've traded a lot and can handle it, but concerned that insiders are dumping. Can you comment on this thread and help provide some transparency: https://www.xrpchat.com/profile/3212-sonic/ . Yes, I'm a newbie but I think it is a fair question and if this were a public company, and xrp were shared, it would be disclosed to the public.... There is plenty of FUD out there - I'm trying to get ahead of it not generate it.
  12. Exactly. My concern (not accusation or FUD) is if an insider is dumping a lot it will show lack of support. Zuckerberg committed to not selling any shares for 1 year after lockup period of Facebook IPO - that built confidence (and showed great wisdom!)
  13. "Ripple employees have very strict rules regarding selling XRP" - great that's what I'm interested in but that statement is vague and I'm trying to learn if employees or major stakeholders are selling (at the expense of those of us who believe in lt).
