    Fantastic move.
This is why people are so stunned. It's not that everyone's just anti/pro-SEC or anti/pro-Ripple or whatever, it's not that binary, there are things that were probably wrongdoings and things that were likely right. The issue is, the hypocrisy, of targetting ONLY Ripple and its CEOs while letting most everything else slide in a clearly scammy market. The entire point of a justice system is its fairness and balance, a level playing field where everyone knows the rules.
Personally, I'm fine with whatever the SEC rules – that's their perogative – and IMO the Ripple CEOs have not been totally innocent in all this; but, big but, the ruling needs to apply equally across this field. You can't cherry pick and choose on a whim what's right and wrong, there must be some reasonable public framework. Ethereum Foundation et al are definitely not separate from all this from what I've read. Enough of the hypocrisy and double standards.
Bring justice and enforcement fairly and responsibly to all, equally – or to noone.

SEC clearly plays dirty. Last-minute complaint, never officially declaring BTC and ETH non-securities and then playing double standards, etc., while Ripple pro-actively tried to engage in dialog.
I think it's very simple and comes down to this: fear.
The establishment is afraid. Clayton's close ties to Goldman Sachs are well documented. Who else? What matter is that Ripple lawyers are on this trail, and they are on it.
Dish the dirt, discredit the SEC.

Ahh, yes, Laura Shin.  That's exactly who I'd turn to for clarification about anything to do with XRP and Ripple too.
    Nice find.

Well it depends if you're talking about national or international operations.
It's likely the IMF would control CBDCs through SDR reserves.  The CBDCs could be traded between countries through the IMF, and PSPs would not be included in this network. These PSPs would still have to use CBDCs as part of business operations, and other bridge assets/currencies networks could be used.  Of course this is just an opinion and many years down the road.
