  1. Yep, it can most certainly be used in that manner as well. However, having seen the video that had those words plus several other talks and interviews he gave, his content, tone and mannerisms suggest a relationship with the SEC that is leaning towards the positive side. Of course, all of this is subjective and based on my own inference. I'll link it if I can find it again, I think that it will give a better context.
  2. I recall one clip where he even says, "our friends at the SEC". That surprised me because I know of no one else in this space that refers to the SEC as their "friends".
  3. Just had to point this out. What an excellent example of a good gentlemanly discourse here. Just arguing the points, with personal attacks and name calling at a minimum. It's just refreshing to see this.
  4. He has an updated video on this if you are interested:
  5. Yea I think for ease, people were just saying 1:1.(actually 1.0073) Not sure what you saw that suggested it would be more.
  6. As I mentioned before, xrp has been an incredibly tough hold for me. It has not been easy witnessing almost every other coin do some decent percentages since the start of this run. I used to be a 100% xrp but I've diversified since and it's made things a little better. Xrp still has the largest share of my holdings. Just waiting to see some action..
  7. I am thinking nothing in terms of the contents of the proceedings actually swinging things one way or the other. From what I understand, these are just some preliminary procedures. However, with that said, I would not be surprised if the market has some reaction with people guessing and/or second guessing each other's intentions/irrationalities/emotions/assumptions etc.. and acting out some of these guesses in a tangible way. In short, your guess is as good as mine.
  8. Not gonna lie, this has been one tough hold. Incredibly tough. Especially these past few weeks with pretty much every thing else moving substantially except for xrp. It's like diamond or adamantium hands now.
  9. Most have said what I had in mind but your story reminded me of this gif I came across some time back. This has probably happened at some point to most people but probably not at the same magnitude.
  10. Well, the saying, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" comes to mind. Always tricky to find that balance.
  11. I think someone misheard "pump" for "dump"
  12. Been holding for a long time. Now I have to decide if I want to trade this and how I would like to do it. Targets etc..
  13. Yep that's what I'm pondering. Regardless, it might attract the fomo crowd in the next 2 hours. I can imagine the average person going, "Look! it's already sky rocketing before the time of pump. Lets buy in before it goes even further!"
  14. Not sure if I got it right but I think it's in another 2 hours 41 mins or so. Roughly.
  15. Well am sure you're happy to be wrong in this case
  16. Wait, if you have it on your ledger nano, then how are they keeping your crypto?
  17. I'm not from the US so I don't know for sure but have you tried Uphold or Bitrue?
  18. I see.. Well I don't know much about pumps but it doesn't seem to me to make much sense if that's the case. Would make more sense to get in earlier and position yourself if there's the believe that it's really going to happen.
  19. I'm also not quite sure how a pump that's announced days beforehand will work. (with the name of the coin already known.) How much of it will already be priced in by then? Are people going to be so obedient to wait till the actual second before buying in?(imho, probably not) I thought most pumps work by being spontaneous and dropping the name of the coin to be pumped at the last minute.
  20. Well, thought everyone knew this by now but Brad had once mentioned that 95% of xrp trading happens outside the US. XRP is huge in asia(I'm from Singapore). And there are exchanges in the US still trading XRP. It's only like 3 or so but they are there.
  21. The current doge behavior was preceded by a 800% move in 24 hours. Xrp hasn't done anything even remotely close to that. Not saying that it can't go down but "similar to the current doge behavior?" Not even close imho.
  22. Lol at "Dont buy now, wait untill FEB 1st!!!"... If one is to believe that the pump will indeed happen, then they would certainly buy now, which I'm sure those behind this would have done as well. It's just silly..
  23. Kind of puzzling for me though. If they have held this long, after everything that has already transpired, and then deciding to get out when it finally hits 0.3 ..
  24. Yea even though it hasn't been able to hold on to any gains, it hasn't been dumping big either.
