  1. Isn't SBI like a major stake holder of R3? That's the connection.
  2. pymnts.com: SWIFT To Create New Cross-Border Real-Time Rails. https://www.pymnts.com/news/cross-border-commerce/cross-border-payments/2020/swift-to-create-new-cross-border-real-time-rails/ It's a fairly bland article, but leaves many doors open.
  3. Wow, I sat this article Thursday or Friday. Did check to look see if it made it to xrpchat. Such controversy. My two thoughts, How spot liquidity, how do the funds move around. In a suitcase on an airplane? Still seems to imply counter party risk.
  4. It be cool to talk about the content of the post too, not only the poster 😊
  5. I found this an interesting comment in a Forbes article on the Fed now system The RTGS renewal project at the Bank of England announced the main technical partner this week. In subsequent press releases BoE admitted that that dismissal of a DLT based system done two years ago needs a rethink. Hooks into DLT based systems are planned. BoE is also using ISO 20022 as its electronic data interchange standard. Forbes: FedNow Aimed At Transforming The US Payment System Approved By The Board Of Governors Of The Federal Reserve. https://www.forbes.com/sites/vipinbharathan/2020/08/07/fednow-aimed-at-transforming-the-us-payment-system-approved-by-the-board-of-governors-of-the-federal-reserve/
  6. I for one fall on the, this is an optimistic outlook for the roll enterprises DLT will play in future cross boarder payment systems, side of this discussion. Additionally, I'm intrigued withe the emphasis stabelcoins are playing.my view is stabelcoins are more of a stepping stone. Specifically because stabelcoins introduce another layer of counter party risk. The absence of counter party risk is, in my view, one of the most profound possitives to a truly well designed DLT. Time will tell.
  7. A pig is a pig, with makeup or not. It's this I think that separates the speculative market and the promise of future technology. Hopefully we all learn to see past the lipstick.
  8. I'm not a fan of Forbes objectivity, but I'll read this article 🤣
  9. Very interesting to ponder. Institutional structure is important.
  10. If you want all of your transactions to be micro loans, nothing.
  11. SWIFT must be back in the game some how. We will work with you but keep your hands off my pie kinda thing 🤣😂
  12. Anyone have a clue as to who the target audience is for this information - seems a bit odd.
  13. I feel the statement is meant to say ODL works in a fluctuating, speculative market.
  14. And, let's not forget smart contract like work continues to move forward through the likes weitswind and coil and others I'm sure. Ripple has my bet.
  15. By no measure am I any sort of SWIFT or cross boarder banking expert, but on an intuitive level, being a person who has followed Ripple, I find this interesting. It seems to shed light on how great the chasm is, and how dangerous it might be to navigate for smaller, more nimble institutions. Institutions that may look for an enterprises level solution. I'm sure Brad is well aware of the industry struggle. Thanks for posting.
  16. It's a very interesting, and to me appealing concept. I made my comment (above) a bit tongue and cheek, not understanding the bottle neck you've described, and also not fully understanding the current liquidity crisis I hear and read about. I guess I was imagining a system, like XRPL, with the speed and bottomless liquidity. One can dream of the day. Thanks for the enlighten posts, both of you 😃
  17. A dollar is a dollar is a dollar, not. It be cool to have a more diversified "reserve". I wonder by what mechanism that could be achieved.
  18. I'm more interested in Ripple related news generally speaking - maybe I could start Ripple Chat. Ultimately I feel anything Ripple related will positivity or negatively impact, as it were, XRP. And as I am a very opinionated person- I don't generally speaking, voice my opinion. But I do post what I find interesting and enjoy most of what others post. I feel that's the point of all this. I think it's a bit presumptuous to claim this news has nothing to do with XRP, since I'm pretty sure your just guessing it will never have anything to do with XRP because the didn't tell you it has something to do with XRP. And, now I'm board with this, moving on
