Bithomp launches a new service: BithompID - a username for your XRP address.
    https://bithomp.com/username
For 10 XRP (Thank you for supporting the Bithomp project) you're getting a username assigned to your XRP address.
    - Old rippletrade usernames are reserved (you can't register them)
    - You'll be able to check your account by entering username in the search field on Bithomp
    - You will have a short link like https://bithomp.com/explorer/vbuterin
    - The username will be shown in transaction view on Bithomp explorer when someone send/receive a payment to/from you.
    - It's only possible to register a username for your own accounts you're in full control of. Don't try to register a username for your hosted accounts on Poloniex, Bitso etc.
    - API for usernames will be published soon on Bithomp.
As usually with love from Bithomp, hope you like it
Thank you for all your support!

"Username Registration"  is the only element on that row. You could add "Bithomp for Testnet" next to it.
At the very least, I would add a link in the footer.

You won't be able to buy 7k xrp for the first card purchase, there are card limits. I think its around 600 EUR for the first time buyer.
We have an automatic system which refilling the hot wallet, with xrp its quick, so no worries about that.
Actually, for bigger amounts it's probably nicer to use cheaper methods like SEPA. xrparrot for example.

    Let see it that way:
    enter 100 EUR. it shows
    350.5267 XRP (fee: 5 EUR)

now Bitstamp is 1 xrp = 0.27170 EUR
    Calculated that way: 100 eur - 5 eur fee = 95 eur. * 0.27170 EUR = 349.65 xrp
So 350.5276 XRP (showed in widget) is approximately the amount you going to receive (rate takes from bitstamp on the moment when funds received)

Widget doesn't show rate, it shows how much you will receive. and how much the fee is.

Hello XRP Chat. It's been a while.

Is there an XRP Charts or similar ledger explorer available for the XRPL testnet? Maybe bithomp has an option to switch to testnet that I can't find? @Warbler
I'm using @ripplerm's (thank you) wallet, to look at testnet transactions, but it can be inconvenient for the purposes of looking up a transaction.

I was really hoping someone else would jump in and help you.  Come on folks, this is a new XRP Ledger users!
    You've found this:  https://developers.ripple.com/xrp-test-net-faucet.html
    Your Credentials
    Address
    rhyXPUuNwrURr2mexsPKGpcCmuX92GbZBu
    Secret
    shsho6MR5jgCPuTbxDHqFcA5KNeWh
    Balance
    10,000 XRP
    ----
What you've missed is this page. I missed it too when I first went to bithomp. This link gets you the test net configuration rather than the live network.
    https://test.bithomp.com
Copy the "Address" above to the line at the top.

Then press the search button to view that address in the test net ledger.

Here you can see your 10,000 XRP balance on the test net and the transaction that funded your address.
NOTE: I spent 100 XRP out of this particular account while testing. See the end for details.
    -----
Now open a second window to https://test.bithomp.com
Then press the following buttons in sequence:
Tools Bithomp tools I have read... Connect Copy the "Secret" above to the line under "Paper wallet (secret key).
It should expand to show you something like this:

That is how you submit transactions to the ledger.
    ---
For practice, open a third window to https://test.bithomp.com
Then press the following buttons in sequence:
Tools Generate XRP wallet Generate This creates a new secret and address, but that address IS NOT FUNDED. It only exists as that pair of numbers you see on the screen. If you search for that address in the test net explorer it will say:  "Account is not activated yet."
    Address:   rN4S3VV1BujTMo9sfberZ7k81cfytcfMzB Secret:      ssyEh4yWFVgowGtMG7GyxHjJZ34aF ---
So go back to the previous "Bithomp tools" window and send the new address some XRP.
Recipient:  rN4S3VV1BujTMo9sfberZ7k81cfytcfMzB Amount:     100 Currency:   XRP
    Press "Send XRP"
    ---
At the bottom of the window, click "Check on bishop in 5 sec".
This will show you the results of your transaction.
    ---
Now you can look at either of your addresses in the "XRPL explorer testnet" window and see what changed.

    Address:   rhyXPUuNwrURr2mexsPKGpcCmuX92GbZBu Address:   rN4S3VV1BujTMo9sfberZ7k81cfytcfMzB ---
Oh, yes. I funded this account while testing. That will give you a third address to play with.
Address:   rLo7LpGHdkhFfdgF3FWfrftDB1AKn8pFF6 Secret:      snZD9sZdtNaiun7xMpKWBy4kVsCvr I hope that gets you started!

Bithomp tools: https://bithomp.com/tools/ are working with 12 words mnemonics.
It's based on the same libraries as https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ to work with mnemonics.
You can download it here: https://github.com/Bithomp/bithomp-tools
You just need one file (index.html) transfer it to offline PC. (better if this PC will never be online).
With this tools you can set a regular key, therefor you will be able to control your wallet with the secret key, they one which starts with 's'.
    1) You can download https://github.com/Bithomp/bithomp-tools (index.html) and https://github.com/Bithomp/generate-xrp-wallet (you need all folder), transfer it offline PC.
    2) on offline PC start index.html in generate-xrp-wallet, generate a key pair (xrp address and secret).
    3) Backup your secret, use https://cryptosteel.com/ or generate and print a paper wallet: https://github.com/Bithomp/xrp-paper-wallet (download, move to offline PC,  generate on offline PC, print) keep it save and private.
    4) when you have your secret key saved, you can setup regular key on your address with mnemonic:
    a) start bithomp-tools on offline pc, choose offline mode, enter 12 words mnemonic, choose "settings" --> regular key.
Enter a XRP address which you generated earlier (for example from paper wallet), which starts with 'r'.
Sign transaction, and submit it as it says in instructions.
If successful, you will able to control your wallet with old mnemonic and with new secret key.
You will be able to use offline mode of bithomp-tools, enter secret key, and then choose "sign as", and enter your main xrp address for which regular key was set.
You'll be probably able to use many other tools, like ToastWallet, which supports secrets of Regular keys.
P.S.: using 12 words (mnemonic) you will be able to remove or change regular key at anytime.
