  1. But would still need a bridge. IF they would issue a Universal Wholesale CBDC then that would be the bridge for these smaller CBDC's and not xrp or?
  2. Never looked into this theory and think it's not possible, but if this all isn't true xrp will probably never take of. if Central banks are creating their own versions as showed in that lastest model. Xrp would be useless
  3. Yes you could be right, but wouldn't it be wiser all country's issue their own Stablecoin CBDC's. and they then a third party like the IMF would take control over XRP's escrow? to act as the Universal Wholesale CBDC? Because What country would issue this Universal wholesale CBDC? Would be better to use a neutral one that is already here and not created by banks..
  4. That would make sense, Ripple has been working on this for 6/7 years, It would almost be impossible for Central banks to develop this in 1/2 years....? pfoe damn. holy damn. I think either Ripple is working fully with all central banks and they will take control over the escrow. But if they would decide to create their own versions we would be fakked, but you'd think it's almost impossible for them to create their own versions on such a short time span.. @SamIam
  5. The thing Makes me doubt these Wholesale CBDC's are going to be a threat is, Who is going to develop these w-CBDCs? Wouldn't it be better if they were issued on the XRP ledger? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=124&v=Se2CDsmMqvE&feature=emb_title Could david be talking about issuing CBDC's on the xrp ledger here?
  6. https://ripple.com/insights/explanation-ripples-xrp-escrow/ ripple reposted this a few days back keep wondering why... "While the escrow is currently being used to provide more predictability to the XRP supply, Ripple expects that escrow will increasingly be used for higher-value, on-ledger and cross-ledger atomic payments using the Interledger Protocol. The XRP Ledger also provides payment channels for lower-value, off-ledger payments and micropayments."
  7. Did think a bit more on this particular model, could it be that Central banks Decide to take over XRP's Escrow and that's why Ripple needs to do a IPO.? This article states. Payments. DLT can streamline end-to-end value transfers, reducing costs, operational risks and settlement periods. For example, Ripple’s XRP ledger provides real-time cross-border settlements, using tokens that represent central bank currencies. In foreign exchange, HSBC’s FX Everywhere tool processed more than 3m inter-company FX transactions worth $250bn in its first year Or is this a far fetched theory? This could also be in line with this mr Katz statement. The Universal Wholesale CBDC exchange could this be Ripplenet?
  8. On the other hand you got XRP mentioned as most relevant for Wholesale CBDC's It's so unclear whats going to happen
  9. Hello guys, I'm slightly worried given the latest developments around CBDC"s I stumbled upon a document from the MAS and im wondering what your opinion on this is. https://www.mas.gov.sg/-/media/MAS/ProjectUbin/Cross-Border-Interbank-Payments-and-Settlements.pdf (from page 27 there's several possible future models for Crossborder payments without a single mention of a bridge currency. Could XRP play a role here or could XRP be adopted by central banks as there currency or are we FCKED?
  10. Hello guys i'd like your opinion at this news. Their were some rumours about Ripple and VISA in the past, but I really don't know what to think anymore there's so much happening that it's so hard what to expect. Lots of ripple staff leaving, CBDC's starting to launch, now this Visa token service. What do you guys think https://www.the-blockchain.com/2020/01/17/new-blockchain-based-visa-token-service-set-to-launch-in-2020-set-to-reach-1-trillion/
