Alright, sorry been pretty busy recently (funny as that could seem).
Quarter 1 close on Bitstamp was $0.1732 so...
The winner of Quarter 1 is KevClem.
Close second by skyzo whose prediction was only 4 days later.
Also KillXRP whose prediction was only 2 days after skyzo.

Yeah, Ripple isn't the only one in the game. They'll end up with a very small piece of the pie. They aren't some world beater. They'll do fairly well, but they have to share the pie with 100 other companies. SWIFT is still dominant and their volumes are increasing year over year, not decreasing. Not every piece of new Ripple has is "earth shattering" or "ground breaking" like the fanboys make it out to be. I have to remind my viewers that its the same way with VET.

That's because serious investors don't live in an echo chamber and they realize that these things aren't as big as the fans of the various cryptos make them out to be. To fans of any particular coin, they make mountains out of a molehill. The bigger investors know that there's not much coming for these cryptos the next few months outside maybe a whale pump or some market fomo. Real mass adoption is still years away, if it every happens.

    You mean this question?
Well for starters, anyone who visits one of his top 10 hopium threads pretty much get's the idea how his posting style was.
Take a look at the picture below.

I am not going to name them. They know who they are. You know who they are. They pop up with the most ridiculous comments like “XRP will fall to 30c, you all need to sell ”or “get out now before XRP collapses”.''

    *Checks Price*
Seems the trolls were right after all.
    Bye Gilligan!

And for the record, it's because those people were labeled as fudsters that's the hate against chewie not that he had hopium thoughts but he and another handfull off zerping members were bashing people who had realistic price views and expectations for xrp.

But there is litterly no need to bring out old comments etc etc. We all want money so let's see what the future brings, just respect the opinions of others bevore you ask for respect that's what many didn't do.

That sentiment lasted for 5 weeks and has been a complete dumpster fire since that tiny blip that everyone with hopium coursing thru their veins latches onto. THIS IS A STABLE COIN. Nothing more, nothing less.
    1 YEAR AGO - NOW
    BTC $3.8k - $10.1k
    ETH $143 - $280
    XRP $0.31 - $0.29 (WTF?)
    BCH $134 - $413
    LTC $46 - $77
    EOS $3.18 - $4.59

First off all i don't know how reliable this news is since the crypto space is filled with shilling shady articles that hype sh!t up more then it means. But if it's true then this is another sign that Ripple is dishonest with us.
And notice how i'm not talking about them using XRP sales to build the railway perse because most of that has already been done.
I'm talking about the fact that he says that they need the XRP sales to keep the lights on, because i recall either Brad or DS saying they do not require the sale of XRP to survive but do it out of necessity to spread XRP on the market to increase the liquidity.
If the article above is accurate, then this is yet another thing that contradicts with what Ripple said earlier.
We already have the famously overly optimistic predictions made by Mr Garlinghouse about the big bank(s) using XRP. And now this.

Sell part of stack ? Not at this stage. I'm patient enough to hold out and see whether it can hit some of the crazier numbers predicted, and in doing that I am happy to risk losing the lot.
It's all or nothing for me with XRP.

KevClem reacted to ICookinBrine in Money Gram and ODL
The extent of any benefit to Moneygram or its customers is beyond me, but as pertains to the ODL check out the this Worldbank.org site cataloging remittance data:
    https://remittanceprices.worldbank.org/en/corridor/United-States/Mexico
    https://remittanceprices.worldbank.org/en/corridor/United-States/Philippines
It was interesting that US>Mexico and US>Philippine both had negative exchange rate margins for Moneygram, and Moneygram alone. Not all access points belonging to Moneygram, but I didn't see other providers with negative margins.
I'm sure that observation could use some critical analysis and may be purely coincidental, but it caught my eye given that this seemed to be a variable that Ripple has touted as an advantage of ODL.

KevClem reacted to facts_dispenser in The big problem with XRP, and why you'll be waiting (a very long time)
You will be waiting 10+ years for XRP to hit 30 USD. Why? Because of a specific buzzword you are sure to hear going around...
    FINTECH.
Let's look at this word. It comprises of two parts: Fin - finance, and tech - technology. There is already a problem here. Finance moves incredibly slowly and is anti-innovation, technology moves very fast and is pro-innovation. Bang. And therein lies the fundamental problem when it comes to XRP: the clash of industries.
Let's look at cloud adoption as an analogy. Cloud really took off late 2000's, and are large corporations hosting critical processes in the cloud? Nope. Why? Because they're big and they move slowly. They may host non-critical workloads in the cloud, but on-premise private cloud is still a thing and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
Now with XRP. Banks, especially T1 Banks, are some of the slowest and most clunky of the large corporations, whereas XRP is some of the trendiest and most cutting-edge of technologies. What do you think will happen when these two contrasting worlds collide? I mean, good heavens, Banks have stuck with Swift for almost 50 years for a reason - they really do not like change. What makes you think they'll migrate their critical workloads over to the XRP ledger in 1, 2 or 3 years? Stop being silly.
    A common criticism:
People like to bring up Facebook and Instragram adoption rates by the end user, and like to tout this as evidence that XRP will grow in a similar fashion. WRONG, and it really pisses me off when people present this reasoning, actually. XRP focuses its utility on the backend where no user is directly involved; Facebook, Instragram and the like are focusing on the front-end user. They are completely different beasts. If you want XRP's price to go up, its backend usage needs to increase, to hell with BitPay and small transactions from the front-end users, that isn't what you should be looking for.

Ripple's pricing model relies on selling software, technical support and transaction fees.
It is not based on increasing the value of the XRP they hold.

It was said that ODL was going to capture a significant amount of cross-border payment volume and I explained why that assumption doesn't make sense to me. Cross-border payments are a directive of the Federal Reserve and they haven't decided what will exist yet.
You don't have to like something in order to recognize that it exists.
