I have stats on it...I followed the top 50 on coinmarketcap.com since they started posting ranks based on market cap.   If I find them again, I'll post them here.
If I recall, the vast majority in the top 50 fall off over the years...and the average fall was a lot!  and 70-90% in the top 10 fall off the top 10 depending on the year they made the top 10...some of them falling as much as those in the top 50.  I only did stats on top 10 and top 50, but traced all their rank over the years.  Most of them performed abysmally over the years.
The only patterned I noticed is that none of the coins that have stayed in the top 10 for a full 4-year BTC cycle have not fallen off the top 10, but I need to revisit my stats to verify this.
Here is an example from 2013 (7 years ago):
    Bitcoin
    Litecoin
    Namecoin
    Peercoin
    Feathercoin
    Freicoin
    Terracoin
    Devcoin
    Novacoin
    Mincoin
Now Litecoin is in 7th, namecoin is in 478, peercoin (the first staking coin) is in 481, feathercoin  751, Freicoin 1271, terracoin 991, devcoin (no longer ranked on CMC),  Novacoin 1173, Mincoin (does not meet requirements to get listed on CMC)
I have stats for every 4-year peak cycle....if I can find them, I'll post them.  Very few in the top 10 stay there consistenlty through  4-year BTC peak cycles. Top 50 is worse.

The Bottom Bollinger Band on Bitcoin's Chart is about to cross the Down Trend Line. This has not happened since September 28, 2016.  Bands are tightening.  Move is coming probably in the $2K plus range.  I think the move will be up - the current economics conditions are just what the doctor ordered for Bitcoin, the post halving purge is over and we are starting the next cycle where price increases.
As far as CSW, did you see that last letter that was released on twitter??  It's absurd.  It doesn't seem to have been written by someone with a full command of the English language, let alone an attorney. Here is a link to it.  https://twitter.com/Excellion/status/1271468034931036160/photo/1
Shorting BitcoinSV is a very good idea in my opinion. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but to me BitcoinSV supporters are like Bitconnect supporters were before the scheme unraveled .  - Vocal, hopeful, dedicated, naive and soon to be bankrupt.
I think most of the crypto community no longer takes any of CSW's claims seriously.  The three major ongoing lawsuits in crypto or NYAG vs. Tether, Fraud suit against Ripple, and Kleiman vs. CSW.  I think the NYAG's suit is BS and I think CSW's is even less important.
The lawsuit against Ripple - when that is dismissed, which I think it will be, that will actually mean something.

My study of the related data leads me to conclude it's governed by the effective arbitrage rebalancing rate at the recipient's endpoint.
Just view the xrp->mxn trade volume at Bitso: 1.75m every hour during weekdays.
Any faster and the slippage exceeds max allowed cost parameters. This constraint could also be related to the acquisition side, I've not yet dived into exploring that possibility.

Hope you find some interesting tidbits in here. Much you have already seen, some might be new.
It's a wrap-up of XRP and Ripple news over the past week:
    https://cryptoking.org/xrp-weekly-report-may-29-2020-steady-odl-growth/
The Weekly Report takes the "glass is half full"-approach. Of course more controversial topics are not ignored as you'll see, but overall the Weekly Report should give a general overview of how much progress Ripple and XRP are making. With focus on XRP.
I plan to publish this aggregated report every Friday. Fingers crossed the news flow will be interesting, if not exciting.

How can anyone be less than bullish after they realise this is just a normal week in the expansion of the Ripplenet/XRP ecosystem, and so few of us are paying attention.

Bollinger Bands continue to tighten on Bitcoin, Litecoin and XRP.  This is the tightest the bollinger bands have been on XRP since the run up from .006 in early 2017!!  Less than .01 difference on the bands.  Which direction do we break?  Well it looks like Ethereum is leading the way and that way is up.

Yep! I think they announced it back in Jan or Feb, but since the utility scan volumes looked low at the time it didn’t get much attention. Turns out the algorithm just wasn’t showing those trades yet — it’s probably been ramping up alongside USD > PHP since the start of the year.

Ps. not telling you to keep or sell, but this is what cryptomarkets do. The short euphoria is followed by years of depression.
If it gets to you emotionally best is to step away for a while and do fun things (in quarantine), or sell and be done with it. It's not worth it to feel bad about something all the time. For all you know the market could do this for another year or go even lower.
My take on it is that I see more and more extreme depression on this forum and Twitter, respected members dropping out and less posting activity, that it feels like 2017 all over again. But guarantees are zero, and that should be the default expectation if you want to cope with this.

Not sure if this fine debate between Tiny and aye-epp is finished but just to change tack a bit, the fantastic essay from @galgitron touches on (among other things) where utility through ODL is going to have the biggest immediate and long term impact.

Most here have probably picked the essay up already. But one thing of interest from it that Galgitron notes is that the world’s heavily used corridors are not the main use case or target market for ODL because those corridors are already fast and liquid (e.g. USD-EUR). But from the charts posted above in this thread I see the USD-AUD corridor is increasing at a handy sort of clip for ODL.  I would have thought that would be one of those corridors already fast and liquid.  So perhaps Galgitron underestimates even that possibility for ODL. Other’s thoughts appreciated

    Dear Moderators
Can you please put a stop to the constant, repetitive and malicious content from @XRP_to_20dollars  He is clearly on an agenda to ruin this thread with his personal vindictive attacks that he has been told again and again, by other readers, are not appreciated. These sorts of people masquerade as sceptics, but their empty comments are beyond scepticism, they are straight nastiness.

This concept has developed from "bridge currency" on XRPL --> to xRapid as a bridge  between RippleNet ledgers --> to the ODL rebranding, which I think clarifies the service offering.
It's one of the most exciting concepts to come out of Ripple. Regarding  XRP Price & ODL.. the market should exhibit a yin yang behavior. As demand increases, buys will drive up price, but as price increases you need fewer XRP to transfer the value, decreasing "unit demand".
I do think XRP's value should fundamentally follow the trend line of liquidity growth, with speculation moving the price above/below that trend line.
