A lot of water under the bridge, and new funding rounds and new customers since then.
I’m bowing out of this discussion.  I think you are holding on to all the old simplistic crypto memes around sales and prices etc.  You tend to raise new red herrings in every post.  That’s too much work for me.  Thanks for the discussion.

Again, when you talk about "we build demand", you are speaking about adding buy/sell pressure from a trader perspective. Why are you making this about you ? It's a product which promises to offer something. If that interests people, they will go to it. If not, they won't. Simple. Free market.  You haven't seen this product work. It might, it might not.
Sometimes it may take time to get people to take notice, and sometimes perfectly good projects may fail. What was the reason for Doge demand to go up ? Has there been any logic related to the quality of the product ? Why do we not see Nano anymore ? It was a pretty good project on the technical front.
How do you know they don't have a Definition of Done? For example, they gave their DoD in terms of doing three audits, security and scale testing etc. What if they were told that the average time for each audit was 1 month  and they gave timelines with that in mind ? What if those audits ended up taking much longer instead ? What if they underestimated challenges because of Covid or vaccines ? What if they had developers take unplanned time out ?
How do you know they are delaying things because they have more things to develop ? You suspect they do. And you can certainly ask them about it. But what you are doing right now is attributing malice and I don't think that's appropriate.
What would you rather do ? Miss DoD to meet timelines just to keep speculators happy ?

Hi all, you might have heard of another development in the Flare saga. As usual we are discussing it in the Flare club but I'll give a quick rundown here too.
-- In the next 6 weeks Flare will launch a 'canary network' called Songbird (explained below). Apparently this is similar to the relationship between DOT and Kusama. The Flare mainnet is expected to launch at the end of September
-- After the Flare mainnet launch, Songbird will continue to exist as a kind of Flare Jr network, a testbed for new proposals and dApps, etc
-- Songbird will have it's own token SGB. So yeah, you are getting another airdrop! If you self-custodied the original Flare claim then it will be easy to claim the SGB. If you claimed through an exchange then you need to start pressuring your exchange to support the airdrop because the exchanges are under no obligation to give you this extra airdrop. Start sending those customer support emails!
-- So in summary, Songbird network will launch within six weeks with extra airdropped token SGB as a kind of testnet (I think 'canary in the coal mine' is likely the origin of this canary terminology, so you get the picture). Flare mainnet scheduled to launch at the end of September as normal. This Songbird airdrop is in addition to everything else, it is not replacing anything or taking away the value of the original Flare airdrop.
Here is a useful infographic from Stedas about it:

I will answer the questions / statements of people above me in a future post. But I will post my thoughts here on why XRP has not risen relative to almost all other projects.
Have a look at almost all the projects which have had their bull run and managed to stay relatively high in price. Solana, Cardano, Eth etc etc. They all have staking rewards which allows the holders to gain in both appreciation of price and with additional tokens accrued for simply holding. Now compare this to XRP. You buy and hold but receive no rewards for this. Ripple hold the remainder of the tokens and sell to the public. The staking rewards for XRP are owned by Ripple. Furthermore, Brad himself stated that Ripple relies on the sales of XRP to fund their organisation so they are and will be selling their tokens to the public.
Now, if we accept this as truth, which it is, why would a new person to crypto buy something that the rewards are already distributed and not to them! Remember the only reason any project appreciates in value is retail buys more than is sold. I have a few projects which are returning 50% APY and have gone up 10x. I am incentivised to hold. It can be dumped by whales sure, but we know XRP is also.
I will state again that I believe XRP will rise in value but I know that I dont earn any for holding and Ripple will need to sell to fund their operation. This will result in selling pressure which will minimise the price gains. I believe this is why FLR was incepted to make some incentive to hold XRP. Again, this a reaction to what other projects are doing. Ripple were late to this conclusion as well.
I am happy for people to discredit everything I have just said! I have an open mind on everything and believe I am not infallible.
    Regards

Friends... I welcome your discussion on this topic, as I monitor action such as this all day, everyday.
Allow me to share a few of my observations and comments...
I too have observed puzzling trade action like Billy shared with us in his screen cap above.
In fact, I've noticed there are several variations of this, one of which it can happen in either direction, and sometimes in isolation and in other times (like yesterday) it will occur simultaneously along with many other tokens as well.
One interesting artifact you will see when comparing volume data limited to just a single exchange verses aggregated, is that SOMETIMES prices will fluctuate sharply with NO VOLUME on a single exchange - which is easily explained by order book adjustments by arbitrage bots. If you are only viewing aggregated date (eg. TradeView), you'll of course not see this.
I posit that events such as Billy's example is simply a taker executing a non optimal trade, due to either impatience or for some other unknown objective (eg. probing the market's actual depth and responses).
But for the cases we're seeing so often of late - like yesterday - where MULTIPLE tokens (eg. XRP, BTC, ETH, BNB) will see sharp spikes and drops all at the same time, has to be planned and coordinated events for a purpose.
Perhaps that purpose is to manage the market, or to accumulate, or to divest. I am trying to figure that out still.
There are some interesting variations these trades exhibit. Such as a sharp buy-up, followed by a dump, other times just the opposite. And these behaviors have shown refinements over the months and months I've been monitoring them. They are getting polished, fine tuned, and quite effective.
My own goal is to write algos to use with my trading scripts to "tag along" with their machinations, and exploit them to my own profit. It's quite challenging heh.

Maybe those other projects didnt do what Ripple are accused of? Other than what we hear from Ripple how do we know where they are along their journey? They have been wrong many times before.

Same sideways movement, and still waiting for the bump up😬. Halfway through July and it’s been sideways since…. Well as long as you can remember 😂 Still confident we haven’t seen the shortest BTC bull run in history. Those who tell you it’s over and it’s down won’t be buying here or in the next 10k by then they will have missed the boat
Fish Boy, save me the, “I’m here to save people from themselves”  alternative analysis. I don’t expect people to trade off of what I say, I’m here to offer my opinion on how the market is setting up, Nobody should make buy or sells in what I think or neither anyone else on a forum 🤡

Members from hidden threads are in those threads because they got tired of the constant personal fights and attacks in the mainforum derailing every topic from what it was meant for.
For some a forum is a place of information and entertainment. For others it is a place to safely pick an online fight. Both get what they want out of it, but I prefer the first one as it is much more fun during boring markets.

At least in the Zerpening thread those three laughing emoji's you use make sense.

ps. XRP (and others) get ridiculed more than you can imagine in there, so no it's not an echo chamber of XRP fans. I'm not even sure if anyone in there still owns XRP to be honest...
