Blubber got a reaction from PhiGuy in This is what happens by EOY...
You know - be like all the right-thinking bros. No thanks.
The funny thing about you is that I'm quite sure you are a likable sort in real life. It comes through between the lines of you tiresome
harangues. You and others have let your cornball status go to your head. Secretly I think pessimism bothers you because you know deep down that
your conviction isn't strong and to be reminded of another viewpoint drives you nutso.

Tell me something, genius. If my persona is such a pariah and object of scorn how it it I have more reputation points than posts?

At what point does a series of dips equal a bear market?

Blubber got a reaction from flanman in In 5 years (not that far into the future).....
If the market gets interested and there is a string of events that ignites a new bubble, then watch out. However, I believe it will take
something truly game-changing to ignite this space again.

Why should his 2 dollars next year be pessimistic? That is an insane return if you buy now.
Just because he does not predict 5k like some actual insane people does not mean its pessimistic.

Blubber reacted to xSODAx in XRP - $5000 The Economic Machine (IOV)
I agree 100%.
XRP is stll a risky speculation and competition is there already and ripple's USP is shrinking.
Competition comes from JPM (QUORUM based network) which is already partnerd with 15.000 banks worldwide (JPM has partnered the most bank worldwide). Even SWIFT has become a threat (SWIFT gpi).
My advice: Find out how the correspondence banking system works and what the main problem for banks is within this systems.
in short:
1. problem: Monitoring of crossborderpayments (solvend by gpi and solved by JPM)
2. problem: Liquiditymanagement (solved by gpi and JPM)
3. problem: capital lockup (Nostro/Vostro) (Currently no a real problem due to punitive interest from national CB)
SWIFT: We can only hope that the world is tired of being "erased" by US administration, and that, for that very reason, a new system will be established (i.g. SWIFT system to disconnect some Iranian banks this weekend).
Ripple will surely find his market and that is why I am invested. But to be honest, there are as many XRP disciples as BTC disciples who defend "their" coin like a religion - over-optimistic.

What the world needs like a hole in the head - more moneyed jackasses. I am very interested about the effects at the bottom. For those
unable to participate in the current exclusionary banking system, a chance to really engage and thrive in the world economy,. That is the great
promise.

Yes, that terminology has been slightly problematic in the past, to say the least.
Brad is becoming adept at the old politician's trick of never answering the question you are asked but rather the question you wanted to be asked.
