    How does anyone still believe anything on those retarded crypto websites?
    No, Miguel has not left. Until somebody who actually knows about it can prove otherwise.

    I clearly see ILP as long term vision of Ripple. XRP as being bridge asset between most connectors. RippleNet is just to ramp up the system (like Compuserve/AOL at the time)

    Hi Bob. Like most, reading this thread I am most thankful for some insights you give us.
    There used to be a guy called "Shane Ellis", purportedly working for UK government. He commented on a video on YouTube and I had gathered his comments/replies to questions in this document (which I named Shane Ellis theory): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lqNRyD_0p78p1byoLmd2O7C3WAuZNJVS
    Summary: he proposed XRP to have a very rapid and steep price increase once there's requirement for high value txs, through eating through the ask order books of a preferred xRapid partner exchange. Those high prices would be "maintained" by huge (hundreds of millions) buy/sell walls which he told was totally legal. You however state (see quote above) that it is illegal artificially manipulate the price.

    My questions:
    Does Shane's theory fall under your "artificially manipulated" price?
    Do you think this "theory" is sound?
    I guess the whole community then thinks: someone needs to go to jail right now. No-one can understand with all the good news coming, that the price is still so low. All agree that it looks like "manipulation", ie. keeping the price flat. Your take?

    Just a quick note to everyone...
    I'm enjoying all the accolades and the really great welcome I've received here. Thank you all! I'm realizing that I really am quite vain!
    But really I'd appreciate everyone here being very skeptical. Just know It won't scare me off.
    This holds for questioning me and my presumptions... Really question EVERYTHING you've ever seen in a press release. I'm not a huge fan of puffery. There are too many awesome technical and ecosystem developments going to waste time puffing silliness. I'm happy to explain thing in either high-level marketing speak, or way too low-level technical talk. I love it when people understand and appreciate the Ripple Ledger, and ILP, and Synchronized Payments, and consensus algorithms, and...  It's all quite beautiful once you see it clearly. My role is to help everyone see it clearly.
    I used to tell all the new Ripplers that I trained, "DON'T presume that you SHOULD BE able to understand everything we say. Lots of the words we use don't actually make any sense. Many phrases have weird connotations that you can't possibly understand. We are horrible about naming things and tend to explain easy things in quirky terms. NOBODY IN BANKING EVER ISSUES YOU A BALANCE! They simply credit your account. But we continue to say these silly things everyday."
    You can all presume that I think I'm right  and also presume that I think I'm telling you the complete truth. But be skeptical! Make me explain it to your satisfaction and bring your own insights. That is where I get the most benefit. The fastest way for me to realize when I'm wrong is to have smarter people than me tell me so! I hate being wrong, but I hate more, being wrong without people telling me so.
    Anyway, I'm looking forward to some great discussion!

    iPinky7 reacted to Remont in EBA CLEARING instant payment service Providers
    Today local newspaper published an article where states that Estonian banks will have very soon fast money transactions.

    Source: http://arileht.delfi.ee/news/uudised/pankurid-lubavad-lahitulevikus-on-maksete-laekumine-vaid-sekundite-kusimus?id=82693549

    It states that right now only SEB is providing these fast transactions.
    I went to SEB homepage to find out that how they are doing it.
    Turned out they are using EBA Clearing for it.

    Source: https://www.seb.ee/eng/instant-payment

    After that, I went to see who are shareholders in EBA clearing and it turned out there are many big banks who are also partnering with Ripple.

    Source: https://www.ebaclearing.eu/about-eba-clearing/corporate-governance/the-shareholders/

    Here are some of them:

    * MUFG Bank, Ltd.
    * Crédit Agricole
    * Banco Santander S.A.
    * Standard Chartered Bank Germany Branch

    That made me thought that EBA clearing is definitely working with Ripple and these fast transactions are happing because they are using Xcurrent

    What are your thoughts on this?

    Could there be a partnership between Ripple and EBA Clearing that's not announced yet?

    *******

    There is also Panel discussion (is in Estonian)
    They state that currently, 30% European banks are using a system to transfer money from bank to bank instantly.
    They are projecting that end of the year 80% of European banks are using this system.

    I think some big players asked ripple not to make any announcements so as to keep the value of xrp down. Even Asheesh Birla had some announcements for march but didnt follow through. They are under strict orders. Some big players want to get behind and control the xrp. Dont forget the central banks they are working with. When the news is eventually released, expect xrp price to rocket up.

    The WU report is great news.  After reading Ripples non disclosure terms on their website and thinking about all the FI’s involved along with the central banks and Fed, SEC.... I imagine we won’t hear much more about xRapid going live until it’s underway.  I think there have been strict orders given from the powers that be saying sit tight and don’t mention anything until we are ready to roll this thing out.  That’s just my take on the situation.
