  1. Privacy is very important for banks too. I think no real bank will use xrp unless all information is private, like account balances, number of transactions, amounts, etc. But at the same time this informations should be available to regulators by request. So we have a very long road ahead.
  2. https://bitsonline.com/forex-trading-platform-clsnet-goes-live/ CLSNet uses the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain framework, a permissioned blockchain system that IBM has used in other enterprise applications. IBM announced in July of this year that it was working with CLS to build a blockchain-based proof of concept for the financial service industry. Not sure if this is related, but https://www.coindesk.com/ripple-joins-hyperledger-blockchain-consortium Distributed ledger startup Ripple has joined the Linux Foundation-backed Hyperledger blockchain consortium.
  3. Man, you should relax a little. Buy a good book about how exchanges operate, make some peppermint tea, listen to Berry White ?
  4. I think this is a standard practice for former presidents. Not so long ago i received an invitation to an event where Barack Obama was speaking. The whole thing was recorded except for his speech.
  5. In that case i want a collective Thank you as well. I did the same thing + i said that if they add XRP i will deposit a big amount
  6. Monero to 18000 USD in 5 years, xrp to 0.001 USD because it has no use whatsoevere. Even Ripple the company wont use it.
  7. Agree. I can only add that in case a counterparty fails to pay, other members should send their apples to cls to cover that amount. So technically, counterparty risk is also mitigated. But my point was that xrapid model is far more effective, fast, cheap and easy to use than cls can ever become. So i don't see them as direct competitors at all.
  8. CLS is settlement service. It uses swift to send messages, so technically you still pay swift to settle and cls as well. Instead of me sending you 1 apple and receiving 1 beer from you, i send my apple to cls and you send beer to cls, thus "eliminating counterparty risk", then cls sends me beer and you apple. For this they receive some good money. Process is really complicated and expensive. If one day i will be able to send you apple and receive beer within 3 seconds, provided that we both trust each other and can do it privately, i believe there will be no market for cls or swift at all. Maybe only for parties that are not trustworthy
  9. Its just where the biggest bully from my school is now. Others became either dead before 30, or working on low-paid jobs. At least thats what i heard. To be honest, i don't know any bully from my school who became successful. Sorry for off-topic.
  10. Define "better" . Is working in an office, making above average and sleeping with a secretary is considered good in this case? Also, where did you get that statistics ?
  11. I think xrp price will go up at least to 0.8 USD by the end of July due to SBI. I have a trading account with my bank and if my bank said it is going to add xrp to the instrument list, i would definately buy just to check it out. As i heard loyalty is important in Japan, so i hope existing clients of SBI want to buy xrp only with their bank, not elsewhere. Just a wild guess in the dark, but thats what i think.
  12. Sorry, but how is traditional money created? Is there some guy who estimates total assets of the country and says how much money it can create? Maybe a country is required to have gold equivallent to how much money it creates?
  13. I have some experience in working with CLS. Read on this forum that it is very easy to switch from xcurrent to xrapid that uses xrp. So i hope that this is what the future will be. If at some point in time all big banks switch to xrapid instead of swift, cls and other legacy systems, then i guess we will see moon predictions come true. Although this will probably take at least 5-10 years and there are no guarantees that this will happen at all.
  14. I dont think you can even compare CLS to xcurrent and xrapid. If you want to buy eur for usd using CLS, you have to give cls usd and wait till they give you eur. This involves a complex expensive procedure with many deadlines, people involved, like specialists, central banks, nostro agents, etc. They use bulking and swift, standard T+ settlement, etc. Basically one can say that its faster to fly with a bag of money from New York to London, than to settle this as a transaction in CLS. ☺️
  15. Where did you get this info? I found this on reddit and it looks more reliable:
  16. I know i am not worried, as i have conducted some pro level technical analysis today and found out that current xrp price pattern is called “ giraffe in a train “ . It is 103% reliable reversal pattern.
  17. We receive interest on funds that are on nostro accounts. ON deposits are just to make more. So i can't say that these dollars are "lying idle" . I bought some in November 2017 and holding. Hope to see xrp at 2.5 EUR again some day.
  18. Hi, i am a new member here. I work in a bank and we don't keep any "free capital" in nostro accounts. We use all capital for payments and if anything is left, we deposit it overnight. As i understand, xcurrent doesn't solve nostro funds issue at all, only xrapid does. But recently it was said, that it is not intended for banks.
