  1. I haven't put in prediction, but I see that it could easily still be under $1 eoy...but that doesn't mean I don't believe there will be significant gains eventually...market place is a zoo and significant adoption is a huge project, this might take a while...in fact i'm currently weighing whether I want to buy more even though I've already spent double my initial budget...short term price isn't indicative of anything meaningful imo...
  2. He was initially announced as "head of XRP markets" in 2016...the XRP/securities issue is likely behind him keeping quiet for the moment is my guess
  3. fair question... someone posted earlier this week that making the entire escrow amount available to central banks for use would expedite the process of distribution while inducing adoption and use...no idea if this feasible or desirable
  4. that depends on the bank in question...the adoption plan is to start small and grow...crawl walk run
  5. and i'd note that the most recognized brand symbol on the planet is that of the Red Cross...they're an NPO...hard to good works, which requires funding, if no one knows who you are and what you do...
  6. so you've looked into the status of Stellar's IRS filings re NPO status? i'd read they've never actually been compliant since having applied, but may be wrong...and further, its one thing to call yourself an NPO, but its another to actually act charitably through giving, not to mention do work with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation...actions speak louder than words...just curious, what kind of charitable/NPO activities have Stellar undertaken? i'm curious, you've brought up they're NPO status several times... Fwiw, i'd be happy to hear they actually are an NPO and doing good things, but i've done most of my research around the main people involved in the few crypto's i've looked into (that's why i bought XRP), and i've read lots of shady stuff about Jeb (again, fwiw)
  7. It's not so much an uphill battle as it is a process that's still unfolding...with early adoption advantage comes early adoption risk, you should know, you've been here longer than most apparently...the entire infrastructure that will legitimize and functionalize the crypto space is still in the process of being built...there will be custodial solutions for retail as well institutional investors eventually, it's a necessity...
  8. sell if you think it's not coming back and accumulate more if you do, its all good, i'm just repeating what you told me re sell point...
  9. Recovery?? It's just getting started, there's nothing to recover from yet ! and you're right, when has (purported, lol) popular opinion ever been wrong? lol
  10. MBS and CDO's...fiduciary responsibilities lol...no one even ended up really being held accountable for the last market fiasco... if FI's smell the chance to make $, they will come, but the illusion of safety needs to exist...more regulation/custodial services/hedging...I've bet what i'm willing to lose that it's all coming...how long it takes to be reflected in XRP price I have no idea...
  11. you try Coinfield? it's expensive (fees upon fees) but they list XRP...I was able to buy within 2 hours of having joined and sent info/pic's
  12. It's my understanding they own it, DS has said that specifically in tweets...now I don't think that means they intend to realize anywhere near full market value for it given their stated intentions as to its strategic use to create the XRP ecosystem they want to build...but to be clear, escrow prescribes the ability to access it, but it doesn't affect ultimate ownership...i'm no tech guy but i'm familiar with escrow...
  13. the marketplace currently can't accommodate xRapid use at the scale WU needs, and they can't change over until they're sure it'll work for them, so it's a great opportunity for them to be patient and dicker over price...crawl walk run, WU adoption would be in the walk phase? seems about right...
  14. Just cause its the only use it has doesn't mean that's how it will be used...it was 1st , so it has the most capital (at present) and the big hodlers control the marketplace (for now)...it may end up being used as gold cause of the power of 1st mover advantage, but if the space really ends up becoming about utility, it should disappear over time...
  15. The escrow hinders them from affecting the XRP market price (to a point anyways, conceptually), and I would think there are good/legal/regulatory reasons why Ripple don't want to be seen as manipulating price...but I don't think that means the XRP price is irrelevant to Ripple (they still own 60B of it), I think it means its in their best long term interest to be seen as being agnostic towards the price and to let the market sort it out...
  16. its an investment for me...im not skilled enough to capitalize on trading so i watch, learn, think and continue to hodl...you've made your motivations clear already, i'm aware, but your whining and negativity is just tedious, don't confuse it with bringing value...
  17. oh, price action...hard to say, news doesn't seem correlate to price so your guess is as good as mine on that front...
  18. an obvious FACT...really...time will tell what the FACTS in fact are...
  19. thank you, that was awesome, best post I've read...it crystallizes a blurry vision I had about what crypto could represent when I 1st started looking into it and finally decided to invest...now I gotta go re-read your posts (you have a blog too I believe?) that I initially dismissed as high-minded conspiracy rantings...sorry lol...never to late to learn I guess...please continue to post.
