Yeah but no evidence is presented that the leverage trading is the sole or predominant reason for BTC's price increase. I'd say that's highly unlikely.

Interesting article and yes, reason for concern. However, I can't agree with this statement: Bitcoin might be trustless in itself, but if it’s being bought for fake dollars, its valuation in dollars will be fake as well. In the end, people who buy BTC, start off with transferring their fiat money to an exchange to get BTC. BTC is valued in USD. To say that an intermediary instrument which might or might not be used to obtain the desired BTC determines the value of BTC, doesn't hold water. But yes, clearly an USDT implosion is not gonna be good for the crypto sphere.

To me it's not hopium, just a given. XRP/Ripple are way ahead of speculative projects like Polkadot and the likes. Not saying DOT won't go to the moon, but XRP just has better cards in my opinion.

100% agree with your opinion. I was thinking the same earlier today. If you can be certain about one coin to increase a lot in value from where it stands now, it's XRP.

Things start to settle, at least that's my feeling. Yeah, the odd exchange will come with some trade suspension / delisting notice, but the effects of these announcements will wear down. I think the cool minds here still see the (added) value of XRP, the use case, the future potential (including Flare) and they will nuance the effects of a potential security label. By the way, there's a real, significant chance XRP won't even be labeled a security in the US. I think these 2 days have proven that the market hasn't given up yet on XRP, which reflects well that many people here also still believe in XRP. 2021 might very well be our year if the SEC suit ends relatively well, which is what I expect. Onwards and upwards!

Few thoughts, please comment: 1. Trial by jury requested by SEC. Strange, very strange in my eyes. Assuming a jury is picked randomly (I'm not American so not sure if this is correct), how can those laymen be expected to rule on such a technical concept? I assume the judge won't go with a jury trial for this reason. 2. OK, so one of the big things here is: is XRP a security? Let's say the SEC wins and the judge agrees XRP is a security. The way I understand it, it's not an issue for banks (and maybe money remittance providers?) to use a security-XRP. I believe it has tax implications

Let's wait and see what Coinbase does. Agreed it's not a good thing if they delist it, but to me not the end of the world. The fact it's now been a couple of days and nobody significant has delisted it, is a good thing to me.

Yes, as I repeated a few times yesterday, this will be alright in the end. This current large upward correction is a first sign.
