  1. I asked why in August it had this humongous drop.. Trying to understand what happened.
  2. Why did DOT go from 350+ to a few dollars overnight?
  3. Looks like we're in the Capitulation / Discouragement stage on these boards... Just saying.
  4. Yeah but no evidence is presented that the leverage trading is the sole or predominant reason for BTC's price increase. I'd say that's highly unlikely.
  5. Interesting article and yes, reason for concern. However, I can't agree with this statement: Bitcoin might be trustless in itself, but if it’s being bought for fake dollars, its valuation in dollars will be fake as well. In the end, people who buy BTC, start off with transferring their fiat money to an exchange to get BTC. BTC is valued in USD. To say that an intermediary instrument which might or might not be used to obtain the desired BTC determines the value of BTC, doesn't hold water. But yes, clearly an USDT implosion is not gonna be good for the crypto sphere.
  6. Why wait if you know you are sitting on time bomb? What's stopping you?
  7. To me it's not hopium, just a given. XRP/Ripple are way ahead of speculative projects like Polkadot and the likes. Not saying DOT won't go to the moon, but XRP just has better cards in my opinion.
  8. 100% agree with your opinion. I was thinking the same earlier today. If you can be certain about one coin to increase a lot in value from where it stands now, it's XRP.
  9. Now I understand why I fell for XRP. FML lol
  10. Can you please explain what is blocktoswap? Can't find what it is or how to get this?
  11. Different kind of overreaction to different kind of developments.
  12. After the SEC news broke and XRP plummeted for 3 days I said this was an overreaction and things would recover. You chastised me, saying I was talking BS and you'd block me for it. It's so funny to read your contributions lately...
  13. Things start to settle, at least that's my feeling. Yeah, the odd exchange will come with some trade suspension / delisting notice, but the effects of these announcements will wear down. I think the cool minds here still see the (added) value of XRP, the use case, the future potential (including Flare) and they will nuance the effects of a potential security label. By the way, there's a real, significant chance XRP won't even be labeled a security in the US. And even if it would.. escrow could be gone and XRP lives on to bring cost savings for its corporate and institutional users and the
  14. Indeed I note Remitano is in the USA. Think that will solve your problems..
  15. Do you guys have Remitano in USA? This is peer-to-peer and safe. Have used it countless times.
  16. I think these 2 days have proven that the market hasn't given up yet on XRP, which reflects well that many people here also still believe in XRP. 2021 might very well be our year if the SEC suit ends relatively well, which is what I expect. Onwards and upwards!
  17. @buh so do you agree with @Gamblord on #4 this will mean XRP will increase in value? Thank you guys, for your contributions.
  18. Few thoughts, please comment: 1. Trial by jury requested by SEC. Strange, very strange in my eyes. Assuming a jury is picked randomly (I'm not American so not sure if this is correct), how can those laymen be expected to rule on such a technical concept? I assume the judge won't go with a jury trial for this reason. 2. OK, so one of the big things here is: is XRP a security? Let's say the SEC wins and the judge agrees XRP is a security. The way I understand it, it's not an issue for banks (and maybe money remittance providers?) to use a security-XRP. I believe it has tax implications
  19. Let's wait and see what Coinbase does. Agreed it's not a good thing if they delist it, but to me not the end of the world. The fact it's now been a couple of days and nobody significant has delisted it, is a good thing to me.
  20. Coinbase's loss. Lot of turnover. I don't mind if they do.
  21. Yes, as I repeated a few times yesterday, this will be alright in the end. This current large upward correction is a first sign.
  22. Thanks for your insights Eric. Always very useful and I'm glad to see we're like minded regarding the SEC suit. Sorry to hear about the covid-cash problems. I'm sure XRP will eventually make it up to you
