Coinbase is an excellent case study in a company with a good product ignoring what their customers want because the founders assume that they know best what the customer needs.
They could have found a profitable way for XRP and all the others to be on their platform as evidence by just about every single other competitor doing just that over the last year.
Should have served their customers and not their egos.

Keep holding because the upside potential is still high for another year or two unless a black swan comes.
It's not unreasonable to seek some way to monitor progress from an actual 1st hand source collectively over time.
My options outside of watching the ledger volume (which is manipulated - JPY) and the XRP reports are ignore everything for years and potentially miss a critical flag or series of flags  :or: Keep listening to so called experts best guesses and interpretations of every tweet or interview.
Only an idiot or a pure gambler would invest money and not try to follow the development of that investment with reasonable evaluating along the way. Go blow 5k in slots or a table bet if you don't want to have any hope of mitigating potential loses.

Here is some news from another xPring partnership. In long run,  xPring initiatives will be way more valuable than any other thing for the value of XRP.

I expect to see lots of institutional sales volume from XRP 2. I hope that will be an indication that the race for first mover advantage has started amongst actual players in the global financial system.

I don't care about it moving price. I just want to know that their sales are increasing as a gauge of increasing interest from people other than us that have no influence on future adoption and volume.
Sales are supposed to be the best yet. If the sales are less than in the past or still around the same we can assume that XRP hasn't gained much ground attracting adoption with institutional products or services.

keybordem reacted to ADingoAteMyXRP in Why #FasterPayments are good for #XRP Has Dilip Rao just given a clear signal that a SWIFT GPI integration with xRapid is on the cards?
If Dilip announced on Twitter that they were/weren't integrating with GPI there would be fallout in one direction or the other.
If they aren't integrating, they're probably in talks or at least trying to win that business. Announcing they aren't integrating would kill any negotiations.
If they are integrating, announcing that would kill any existing bank negotiations for xCurrent. They don't want to impact the price either, because then their partners wouldn't be able to accumulate XRP. Whatever happens, Ripple may simply whitelist -- they don't want to be thought of as a SWIFT coin or a subsidiary, small-potatoes version of existing networks.
There's a lot to worry about as far as PR goes. "Idle speculation" covers the bases without having to lie.
    I still think it's possible.

All swift banks will go GPI its a requirement as of November. As in if you don't upgrade you don't participate in the global financial system. Of course Santander is upgrading and so are All the world's major banks, they have to.
It really is that simple and not just a rival system or proof of integration between ripple and GPI. Banks to keep being banks are being forced to upgrade just like we upgrade a browser to keep access to the global internet working correctly.

OP is correct. Sanctions were created and placed on Russian arm sales for buyer and receiver by both parties in congress due to "election meddling". Trump just passed them due to political pressure from both sides.
It's a flat sanction you do this you get this punishment on any military arms sale to hurt Russian bottom line and slow the spread of advanced air space denial systems.
Not saying the OP India statement is correct but he is correct in saying India would meet financial issues in some form. Turkey started buying Russian arms being in Nato and look what happened to the lira. China same deal.
These are auto sanctions not just on someone's whim or feeling and were designed to essentially undercut Trump from not enforcing them if he was in fact working with Russians.
    Reuters--"
The United States has said countries trading with Russia's defence and intelligence sectors would face automatic sanctions under a sweeping legislation called Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).
A State Department spokesperson said this week that the implementation of the sanctions act would be focused at countries acquiring weapons such as the S-400 missile batteries.
Last month, the United States imposed sanctions on China's military for its purchase of combat fighters as well as the S-400 missile system it bought from Russia this year.
India is hoping that President Donald Trump's administration will give it a waiver on the weapons systems which New Delhi sees as a deterrent against China's bigger and superior military".

You still have to use a KYC AML linked bank for the Fiat parts. Legit banks in the international system do not want exposure to ones that don't follow the agreed international finance norms. They can go after the on and off ramps for not enforcing sanctions. The US also targets and freezes individuals private accounts. Unless you're storing physical assets a digital account can be targeted though sanctions and via cyber areas of the intelligence services.
Blockchain ledgers make this even easier because you can literally follow money from account to ledgers to account with full tracking. On the flip side the potential is there to reduce corruption if its harder to hide the money flows.
