  1. Thanks for the reply. I am not proposing to get rid of the X but instead incorporate the R and P as well. By using only a clear X as a symbol it might not look very welcoming, seen from a global perspective. It might also contribute to the existing confusion between the independent XRP digital asset and the X-products of Ripple. Just my take on it, looking at the psychological influence symbols can have. Curious about all your opinions
  2. As always a nice blog, thanks @Hodor. What is your guys' view on the worldwide interpretation of the symbol X? From what I have read it has a ton of both positive and negative associations. As some may interpret it as not very inviting, it makes me a bit worrisome to use a symbol that puts such a strong focus on the X. Furthermore, a smooth incorporation of the R and P in the symbol could perhaps help with getting the distinction between XRP and the X-products of Ripple more clear.
  3. Well if it is really that spectacular for sure a new ath tomorrow.
  4. I also very much wonder what kind of spectacular news they will bring tomorrow considering the fact that the interview could be overheard by people in the background. Quess they were not handing out nda's for everyone there so sadly no big news I'm afraid
  5. Also did some research into wanchain and some serious red flags pop up. Missed deadlines, vague interviews and a president that does not have actual big achievements. Lot of big talk but no actual insights in how to make things happen. Not a small bit of worry for XRP imo.
  6. I can also imagine that it would be positive. If so this could create a huge spike looking how much volume comes out of there. Just read an article though where they expect big red for the short term. No explanation so no clue how serious that should be taken though.
  7. Do you have any sources about South Korean exchanges opening up for new accounts again or is it not sure yet??? Thanks! If so time to buy some more zerps Edit: I see that they will only allow registered accounts for trading cryptos from 30th Jan. So not anonymous anymore. You guys think this is a positive or negative thing for the short term?
  8. This is really exciting news!! Though the JPMorgan rumours should perhaps not be taken to seriously. Sadly, for their real-time payments, it looks like they will not use Ripple but The Clearing House's system via swift gateway. https://www.theclearinghouse.org/press-room/in-the-news/20171114 rtp first new core payments system https://www.swift.com/news-events/press-releases/swift-to-facilitate-instant-payments-in-the-u_s_ From what I understand only domestic payments though.

  10. I can imagine all the FUD is scaring some potential new investors in XRP but to me, all the FUD is actually a good sign. It is a sign that people are feeling threatened by the potential XRP has. I would be concerned if they would not go against it. The recent Bloomberg article, for example, is written by someone who clearly (looking at his tweets) is a supporter of Bitcoin. It is still early in the game so definitely no guarantees that XRP will be the main disruptor but for me, the signs are very positive. Do your own research, look a both supporting and counter-arguments and judge for yourself what you think the real story is. Thrust your own research and don't let all the FUD scare you away from the real potential. Keep realistic and optimistic. Enjoy the ride!
