  2. Yes, but the behavioral undercurrent will vary based on how individual cryptos were set up. The fact that drew me to BTC back in the day was its fixed supply. Fixed supply + increasing demand = exponential price increase in the long term. Add hodlers to the mix = reduced circulating supply = compounded exponential price increase in the long term. Now take something like BNB, for which both of the above hold true, but then insert quarterly token burn: further compounded exponential price increase in the long term. These cryptos are inherently deflationary and thus excelle

  4. That could be because of ever-present selling pressure since Escrow was put in place. Hard to do a TA analysis on an asset whose supply is ever-increasing and as a result constantly changing that asset's behavior and diluting its movements.

  5. YoYo is the next Ripple Psychic that SamIAm has chosen to believe. First it was BearableGuy, then “the BGs” (because all the copycats must be working together), then it was the Ripple Riddler, then “the Riddlers”. Now it’s YoYo. Next it will be “the YoYos.” There is no end to it. None of them are real. It’s Q-Anon for crypto Twitter. And yet he also doesn’t “believe in” human contributions to global warming... and is shuffling that propaganda campaign to his audience. It’s a little disgusting. That said, he shares interesting news articles sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

A strong comm, besides chasing the hacker, could have been: Admit your mistakes Admit your full responsability Admit as a result that you must refund ALL claiming victims Explain the plan how you will try to do this, albeit when this has to go overtime The latter could be (helped by present low XRP prices): arrange an option to buy or borrow@ripple the needed XRP otc once you can....

  10. If you understand the snark, do you then also understand the foolishness of your initial proposition? This isn't meant as a personal attack. I just see this statement a lot around the crypto world, and it is nonsensical on its face. How would such an action benefit Ripple? Or anyone other than current holders who are not destroying their own wealth? Burning tokens would simply transfer wealth from those doing the burning to those not doing the burning. It would not do anything to facilitate the protocol's growth. If burning tokens worked to grow the wealth of the protocol, then why not just bu

  11. Many cryptos continue to increase or shrink the overall supply, and still have fundamentally justified charts (when you zoom out far). At least with Bitcoin, it is mathematically ingrained into it’s design so you know exactly what is happening at how much and at what time. XRP escrows have a cap of a billion monthly, but at 2% of circulation that can be a significant impact. Don’t forget about those pesky little programmatic sales as well.

  16. Just to be clear, I'm absolutely with you on your statements. Some people might have lost just one day's pay worth of money. However, others may have stored their emergency savings, personal loans, or possible even friend's or family's crypto investments to avoid having to teach everyone how to get into crypto. If GateHub has the finances to reimburse in full, that should be what they do. My only contesting stance is if paying everyone back immediately guaranteed bankruptcy, it's a bit hard to assume they'd make a moral action like that and destroy a business. Instead, it seems reasonable

David Schwartz was at a conference last week using these same companies that Ripple has been using in presentations in recent years. “If you’re a Seagate or an Amazon or an Airbnb or an Uber, these companies all make large numbers of small payments. Amazon has thousands of merchants that they make payments to. Uber, if you’re in the Philippines and you’re a driver and you need money for milk, Uber would love you to drive for them and buy milk right that day." @joelkatz I think you or the Ripple sales department should give these companies a call or maybe send an email describing the

    Epic Pennant on BTC Chart

Might be a private thread. I will message you both.. Basically VET has a very democratic ecosystem and you can begin to stake without a lot of coin. It is a unique opportunity imho. Here is an informative (and possibly slightly confusing) link. https://vechaininsider.com/guides/guide-to-vechain-nodes-and-node-rewards/

  22. Pretty much share the same sentiment. This past correction was warranted, not too many people were expecting a parabolic move by bitcoin soon. I don’t think alts had a chance to tie their shoes and then got caught off guard again with the steep drop following. Gut feeling makes it feel like that bottom for alts is somewhere nearby, but there sure are a lot of external wildcards out there good/bad that can affect attitude abruptly. While all my crypto investments take long positions (what is considered long in the world of crypto anyways?) I appreciate the TA input in this thread by ever

I said the same thing... but am not charging any money for my private online group.... So, as these people join his group and pay the 70$ admission fee, he will make money... won't lose any of that as I am sure it is non-refundable.... So I ask again, what does he have to lose? His credibility? There is a phenomena in situations like these that will make it possible to go on and on forever while

  29. What I would appreciate is a proper explanation of why they think that they are not responsible for reimbursing people. Personally, I'm not sure yet whether I think they should have full responsibility or not, all things considered. Not least because we don't fully understand what happened, or how appropriate the security measures in place were. But at this stage, Gatehub probably know better than anyone else, legally and morally, what their responsibilities should be, and it would be good to hear their side of the story. I presume (naively) that they think they have some very good reason

  31. By and large I don't pay much attention to the XRP chart, the main reason being that it tells very little. All of XRP moves, in it's short history, have seemingly come out of nowhere and have been based on News or outside factors, rather than technical levels. The main driver of the last big moves in 2017 being the announcement and completion of the escrow and the parabolic move in Bitcoin which dragged all cryptos up - then down. So basically the price of XRP went from flat to flying in a matter of days. Do I think XRP's price movements will play out as it has in the past? Yeah Absol

  34. At first glance, this looks like RippleNet, not IoV. This is a payment flow from one USD Corp, to two beneficiaries in another currency. The internal flow at each FI look to be inline with how Ripple has been articulating to banks how RippleNet would work for years. Because there will be IP fights, where other banks try to tell BoA they can't do something using a certain patented method. That and the IP attorneys both want work now, and when the fights start.

The server does quite a bit of work to maintain some ledger indexes used to find paths for cross-currency payments and validators that don't originate transactions don't need to do this. The config stanza is: [path_search_max] 0
