This eliminates the need for a direct one-to-one connection (or bilateral relationship) between financial institutions to settle a payment. Using multi-hop, SCB will be able to receive and forward on a payment without a bilateral relationship between the

The co-worker insisted I was crazy (some truth might exist here) to have XRP at all. his view was that Ethereum and Bitcoin were the best crypto investments to hold. I asked him simple questions, " Whats it good for?" "Use case?" "What real commercial business plan is being driven and promoted?" Then went on to share what Ripple is doing and where XRP fits into that plan. Followed up by links to t

When XRapid goes live, and let's say they push $10million just through bittrex, that will eat up a lot of sell orders pushing the price higher, in a blink of an eye. ( Let alone $100 million) I really believe we are all on the verge of something huge, most of us could wake up mulit millionaires, one day very soon.

Summary In some recent video interviews with Ripple employees it was mentioned that xRapid aims to reduce remittance costs from current average cost of 400 basis points to around 40 basis points (100 basis points = 1 percent) When you try and buy a large amount of XRP, there is price slippage as you eat up the order book This analysis attempts to look at what the price of XRP would need to be, in order to buy a certain EUR value amount of XRP and not have the price slip more than 40 basis points Based on a random snapshot of Bitstamp's order book today, this suggests th

I hear you, but xrapid is only at the moment using 3 exchanges for liquidity, bittrex, bitso & coin.ph, so if they do put some decient volume through those exchanges, I can see the price dramatically increasing, and I agree arbitrage will play a big part, but I feel it will be to push prices higher quickly on other exchanges to match. But at the moment all we can do is have our own ideas on what might happen. We will all know soon enough one way or another. What is stupid about wondering what the collectives view points are? Also dude keep religion out of this ?

  16. Bittrex is only one exchange though....if XRP goes to $500 on Bittrex alone, can you IMAGINE how many people will SELL their XRP on Bittrex - to the point they drive the price back down to a much lower figure? Bittrex is just one exchange of many. The sell pressure would be enormous and arbitrage bots will mash that price back down in a heartbeat.

If XRP does half of what I'm studying and reading it can/ ??WILL?? do.....then I will let the dust settle over the next few years and enjoy retirement. I don't go around asking the lame question... It has been going on in the background since the 1980s, but here is the real confirmation. I remember listening to an interview with Peter Thiel pretty much describing digital assets back in the late 90s with ebay, but they had to settle with the in-between ideas that made Paypal.

You can enjoy life without the price of XRP going up, the data is clear that the correlation between wealth and happiness is loose. Being dependent on the price of XRP is just being enslaved to another master.

This PoC was to test out the synchronisation of settlements (atomic settlements): We haven't heard much about what they plan on doing with the new RTGS besides it being an open and inter-operable system however that hasn't stopped me from stalking their website as I'm keenly interested in what the new RTGS will be as it will effect us all in the UK and abroad. Recently however it looks like that PoC with Ripple has made them realise how synchronis

  31. I hate to say this, but I'm thinking low 30s if not all the way down to mid 20s. Here's my reasoning: Swell last year caused a price pump to 35c followed by a rapid pullback down to 20c. We already saw a pullback to near 42c range following our peak of 63c (not counting the overbought peak of 80c), and that was with 2bil of volume. Price has since rebounded to low-mid 50s on ~900mil of volume, which means that many people are still buying in hopes of major incoming pump. If that pump doesn't materialize then all such people will start getting out, and once they do there is no wa

  32. You are describing ILPv4's Universal Mode, which superseded Atomic Mode[1]. Ripple's products implement a different, proprietary variation of ILP that favors Atomic Mode instead[2]. Rippled is the software that executes the Ripple Consensus Protocol Algorithm, relays transactions in the network, and maintains copies of the ledger[3]. ILP is a protocol, it isn't a ledger and doesn't produce one[4]. That protocol only has a use case if you run at least two different ledgers. References: 1. He may possibly be using the recent spike to shift attention back to buying, thus driving customers to his platform. Just my thoughts... However, you could be absolutely correct--perhaps he knows something, given his connections! My bet, though, is that he's simply engaging in good marketing practice in order to increase personal wealth.

Market Makers(MM's) provide liquidity to XRP by allowing their 'value' to move between XRP and any fiat currency(i.e. KRW) and capturing small gains along the way. If I was a MM, I would place 2 very large orders on either side of the mid-market price, with the goal of earning the bid-ask spread between the two. Buy KRW at 595, sell at 607. You earn 2% every time other people use your liquidity to move fu

Dude, read what I wrote. That is exactly what I am saying. Because trading is difficult, contra to what you first said. As someone above has said, your original sell was a risk. If it went higher you would end up with less. There are plenty of people on this forum who have experienced just that. As I said, if you believe xrp will go higher, then buy and hold is the safest strategy. Full stop. I'm not talking to you, supertrader, I'm talking to anyone who is not familiar with trading.
